2012 Enhancements

Ratings Module (Supplier and Customer Management)

Please note that this is an add-on module and must be purchased separately.

Scope:

Suppliers selling goods and services to customers doing business in quality-regulated environments

are only qualified to supply specific and approved products and services. Therefore, it is essential to

maintain and track the certification levels of each supplier and approved vendor lists. The Supplier

Management Module offers a user-friendly and comprehensive tool to summarize and score the

activity of each supplier from other uniPoint modules. Taking it one step further, you can even setup

approved suppliers per Customer, as your customers may dictate which of their approved suppliers

can be used.

Advantages:

Managing, tracking and rating your suppliers is simple with our Supplier Management Module.

Monitor supplier performance by leveraging our automated rating system. You can calculate a score

for your suppliers based on uniPoint NC's, Audits, Survey Results, CPA's and other user-definable

criteria. Ratings results below minimum threshold automatically update the supplier's approval

status and email the supplier manager for action steps.


2012.2.1 Enhancements

Training

Creating a new training revision now gives you the option to copy previous instructors. A

new option was also created

Corrected the following issues with the Trainee List Report:

o Changed the “Training Status” filter to “Trainee Status”

o Added a “Training Status” filter

o Added a group-box beside the print options with the following options:

Include hours

Include Costs

o Added Group and Report totals

Added a new option to the Recurring Training Report that “Excludes employees not currently

members of the Occupation”

Key Indicators

A new metric has been created for NC Verification



Inspection Record uniPoint is now FDA CFR Part 11 compliant with our Inspection modules. Please see the

enhancements below:

New Options and functionality:

Limit Inspection Reopen: Once an Inspection Record has been completed, only the

Manager, Inspector or System Admin can reopen it.

Require Notes on Inspection Reopen: When an inspection record changes from

Completed to any other status and this option is enabled, the user will receive a notes dialog.

Notes dialog is modal with an OK and CANCEL buttons. If the user cancels then status

reverts back to completed.

Log Attribute changes after first completion: After an Inspection has been completed

and then reopened, all changes made will be tracked in history.

Enable Inspection Specification Sign-Offs: Same functionality as before, we just changed

the name of the option.

Enable Inspection Record Sign-Offs: Enables Sign-Off functionality on the Inspection Record module.


Enhanced Delete Functionality We have increased our delete functionality in 2 ways.

1) New Option to Require Password on Record Deletion:

Now when a user hits the delete button, the following delete dialog box will appear:


2) The second way we have improved delete functionality is by creating a new security privilege

is user admin called “Create”:

If a User only has Create enabled for a module, they will not be able to delete the record.

However, they will still have enough privileges to create new records.


New Lock Feature

Due to the sensitive nature of information for some of our customers, we have introduced a Lock

feature. If users want to leave their workstation, they now have the ability to lock uniPoint. Only the user who locked uniPoint or a System Administrator can unlock uniPoint.

To use the lock & unlock feature, perform the following steps:

Doc Control

The Manager dropdown field on the general tab now displays User Name along with User ID.

Help Files

You now have the ability to use CTRL+F and search through our help files.

Attachment Sub-reports

All reports where you include the Attachments sub-report, we now display the Attachment

Description General software enhancement

Whenever you are looking up a Supplier Management record (Attachments for example), we

now display the exact same search criteria that is found on the Supplier Management searcg screen


2012.4.0 Enhancements Requests

Ability to generate a new Request from a Request:

o Use the Type of “New Request”:

o On the Action Tab, you can now select a new Action along with creating a new Request at the same time (very powerful when used in conjunction with Templates):


Added a (source manager) value for the Manager and Assigned To fields on the Request tab.

Follow these steps to use (source manager): o Create a Template with (source manager) in the Manager and Assigned To fields:

o Create a new Request using the above Template:

o You will be prompted with the following question:


o Click yes and notice that the (source manager) automatically set the value to the same as from the original NC:

o This is very powerful when using Templates from the web based Request module

Added a Reference field to the Request module. You can search by this field as well and is also available in the Web Requests module:


We created some enhanced default email notification capabilities in the Request module:

o Created new Options:


We have created new security enhancements to the Request module and Request creation from other modules:

1) New permission that allows users to create Requests, but not edit them once they have been submitted:


2) You now require Read or higher privileges if Record Level security enabled on the Template:


3) Small change to the create Request dialog box. It now says Create & Open instead of

Create & Edit because of the new Submit Request permission. If the user does not

have permission to the Request module, but tries to Create & Open, they will be prompted with the following message:


Attachments

You now have the ability to delete multiple Attachments at a time

Customer Service

Now have the ability to Request an NC from the Customer Service module:

Reporting Enhancements

Now have the ability to report on component jobs on the JobBOSS Scrap Report The Training Certificate now displays the Instructors full name if the Instructor is an

Employee


Inspections

Ability to Duplicate Measurements on the Inspection Specification: o Right click the Attribute you want to copy:

o It will copy all the Attribute details and automatically rename it for you:

Added the Degree symbol to our GD&T symbol repository


Web Based Requests

Now have the ability to Attach multiple external files and internal attachments to a single

Request (this will only work if you have Automatically Organized Attachments enabled in Options)

Now have the ability to lookup Doc Control documents on the Source Detail filter:


Web Doc Control Viewer

Now have the ability to create a Request and use a Template as well (same functionality is duplicated in the Web Request module)


Bug fixes from 2011.2.3 to 2012.2.0 Audit Meetings

Corrected an error if a user cleared out the meeting Start and End Times and tried to save

the Meeting

CPA

The Vendor/Supplier can no longer be changed if the CPA is set to a Status of Closed

Doc Control

Unmanaged Attachments now get copied properly when creating a New Rev of a document

The Name field on the Distribution tab is now properly displayed as a combo box when the

Type is Other

The incorrect warning message of: “Document could not be copied to the Temporary location”

no longer appears at incorrect times

We no longer allow Documents to be checked-in/out if the actual document on the file system

is open by yourself or another user Corrected a problem with the grouping on the Training Email screen

Inspections

Corrected an issue with Inspection Records taking a long time to open

Corrected an issue with the ANSI Inspection sampling rate on Inspection Records

Inspection Specifications no longer take a long time to load if there are many attributes defined

Integrations

We now integrate to the following ERP systems and versions:

o Made2Manage version 5.5.2

o Macola Progression SQL 7.7.600 Fixed leading line spaces issue in PO Lookup for our Finesse integration

NC

PO Number is now displaying properly on the following search screens: o NC o NC Lookup o NC Template Lookup o NC Report


Reporting

Material and Service costs no longer appear incorrectly on the Equipment Report

Corrected an issue with the Training Report so it displays the time properly in the search grid

Corrected issues with NC reports that were not excluding Templates properly

Requests

Added the extended description from Requests to emails

Tickets

Fixed an issue with Ticket detail items showing up incorrectly for recurring tickets

Corrected an issue where Templates were appearing as Past Due in Key Indicators

Resolved errors of when a past due ticket was opened Ticket Detail ToDo items are no longer created improperly

Tool Window Manager

Fixed an issue when trying to copy and create custom reports

Training

Fixed an issue with the Recurring Training report showing incorrect Next Dates

Trend Analysis

Corrected an error with the „Inspection Quantity – Failed‟ Trend Analysis report

User Admin

When deleting a User, we now delete the User/Manager Relationships properly

Fixed a bug in the Security Report, Permission lookup combo box

Fixed another bug with the Security Report that would make the uniPoint client become unresponsive when the report was run for All Users and All Group Permissions

Miscellaneous

Corrected an issue with a slow uniPoint login issue

Corrected Key Indicator called „O/S CPA Requests‟ so it no longer displays closed CPAs

Fixed a bug in Customer Service that allowed users to edit fields on the Origination tab when

it was Closed The Meetings module is now displaying Meeting numbers properly on the search grid


Bug fixes from 2012.2.0 to 2012.2.2 Audit

Auditors are no longer being copied from the previous Audit when the new# button was

clicked

Doc Control

Now has an option to include Attachments on the Doc Control report

If a user only has Read access to Doc Control, they now have the ability to Acknowledge

documents on the Distribution tab

Document text search now works with .docx and .xlsx files

Comp By and Comp Date now clear out properly when a Review is changed from Completed

back to Pending

Corrected the Doc lookup to only include one rev of a document in the History Report

Resolved an issue with history entries having blank values when a record was turned in to a Template

History

Entries are now made to history when:

o A record is created and not saved o A record is not saved and the delete button is clicked

Integration Specific

Intuitive:

o Vendor lookup now displays all vendor ID‟s properly in the NC module

JobBOSS:

o We now display a proper error message during logon if the JobBOSS version is 11.3 or

higher and integration authentication is being used (JobBOSS has started to encrypt

their passwords and we can not authenticate properly any longer)

o Can now edit the GST/PST percentage Options for the Controllers toolkit

Syspro:

o The quantity column on the NC RMA report now displays decimal places properly

IndustiOS:

o uniPoint is now compatible with version Z0082

Key Indicators

All 4 Occupation Review metrics now work properly

Fixed unhandled exceptions with the following metrics:

o Instructor Mgr Sign-Offs o Instructor Mgr Rejected Sign-Offs


Meetings

When a series is deleted, errors no longer occur

NC

The Job field no longer clears when tabbing over/through the Type, Customer and Vendor

fields

Ratings

The Ratings Option screen now fits in 1024x768 resolution

Fixed vertical alignment issues with the URL in the Supplier Management report Risk & Supply fields now appear on the Supplier Management Report

Requests

No longer allows a Request ID to be manually entered in edit more and bypass security

A Request from a template now stamps:

o “Requested By” with the current user

o “Request Date” with today‟s date

Fixed an issue that would display “All required 'White' fields must be entered. Please ensure that these fields all have values.” Incorrectly

Surveys

After deleting a question, it now displays the correct question when you select the one below

that was just deleted

Tickets

Ticket ToDo items have a field called “Ticket Due Date” instead of “Due Date”

Record Details on the Ticket now accept negative Planned and Actual numbers

Status and Availability are now required fields

Job lookup button no longer appears if you are running uniPoint in Stand Alone mode

The Training module no longer allows users to clear the Complete Date when Training has

been completed

Employee ID & Name now display properly when you select the Show Training Name

checkbox on the Training Matrix report

Revision field now populates properly in the Training Certificate report

Training ID filter now works properly on the Training Reviews Report

Save As feature no longer clears/changes the Next Date to today on the Trainee Tab

Trend Analysis

Y-Axis now shoes appropriate step sizes

Training QTY graph now displays a descriptive Y-Axis label

CPA Processing Day Average graph now works properly when the Type filter is used Average Setup Min/Hours graph now only works with JobBOSS 9 and higher

Web Console

Doc Control no longer automatically selects all documents in the search grid when the module

No longer displays “Session Expired” the first time you go to the login page

Standard text dropdown field now displays an image when in a virtual directory

Miscellaneous

The mouse scroll wheel now works in the Outlook address book dialog box

Review and Review Summary report now display the record ID for all modules that have

Review Summary report no longer throws an unhandled exception when the “Module” is to

the “(All)”

All modules that allow spaces in the ID field now trim any trailing spaces after the tab key is

hit

You can now delete blank rows in the User Code module

Double clicking the browser button on the main toolbar no longer causes an error

Corrected connection pooling issues to our UNIDX database which prevents uniPoint from

crashing The Education and Training Option screen now fits 1024 x 768 screen resolution

Ratings

Corrected a problem when recurring Ratings were completed. No longer receive unhandled

exception error message about Transactions

Corrected error messages on the Recurring Training report when Group By Employee and

Employee filters were used

Corrected an issue with the Training Audit report that was displaying old revisions incorrectly.

We changed the Training filter to view all revisions for a TrainingID. We also added a Rev and status column:

Inspection Record

Added validation for Choice Lists, Lookups and max length checks for alphanumeric fields

when importing records

The "%" symbol is now allowed ONLY for the "U of M" user code

When Inspections are imported, we now Trigger events such as auto emails for

measurements that reach the warning levels

Users can no longer open/edit an existing Inspection Record if they are not listed in security

for the related Inspection Spec

Meetings

The meeting name no longer clears automatically after the recurrence screen is closed

NC

Origin Ref field is no longer editable when the Investigation tab is completed

If Advanced Process Control is enabled and a task been set to complete, you can no longer

edit the Reference Types Only System Admins or QA Manager can add/edit Reference Types

Survey

We now allow apostrophes as a valid email character in our email validation

Tool & Equip

Corrected a minor issue with the Maintenance Ticket Report. We added some line separators

to break up the data visually better

History entries are now made properly when a new Ticket is automatically created via

recurrence

There is now a Reviews Key Indicator Metric for Equipment

Department now appears properly on the Equipment report

When the NC Type is Vendor, we no longer use the Job Lookup to populate other fields such

Training Module: Corrected an issue when a New Rev was created and Instructed By field was

NULL

Inspection Records

Corrected a problem with importing attributes that are “Once per Inspection”, we now handle

and display the “Lock” icon appropriately

The Inspection import no longer shows an error when importing blank "Choice List" or "Lookup" type attributes


IndustriOS: We now integrate to version Z0086 and Z0087

Made 2 Manage:

o Corrected a Job lookup error when a Job had a description of over 50 characters

o We now allow for employee email addresses to be up to 255 characters

SYSPRO: Corrected a PO Lookup issue when the SYSPRO database is ISAM Stand Alone: Corrected an issue with entering a Job on the Distribution tab in Doc Control

Reporting

NC Analysis Job/Part Report: If the NC is in Advanced Process Control mode and had multiple

Origination tasks, the same NC was displaying multiple times

Training Audit Report: Fixed a bug when the employee had more than 1 manager

Fixed a problem with the Training Matrix report so it no longer crashes when Training IDs and

Occupation IDs are the same

Added a record status to all reports that are Review related. This enables users to view

outstanding Reviews for Active records only (Doc Control, MSDS, Training, Occupations, Audit, Supplier Management)


Survey

Corrected an issue with online surveys rejecting valid email addresses from survey respondents

Miscellaneous

Corrected an issue with our Spell Check Utility when the Cancel button was clicked

o Also upgraded our Spell Check Utility to the latest version

We are now compatible with Outlook 2010 x64 address books

Reviewed 900 dropdown boxes in the application:

o Corrected for their sorting

o Corrected for their column widths so text would not be chopped off

Corrected an issue with the Equipment Quarantine Key Indicator metric. It no longer always

displays zero

Users can no longer paste invalid text in to “Limit to List” dropdown boxes

Added Rejected Sign-Off Key Indicators for all modules that have Sign-Off capability We are now only support Internet Explorer 7 and higher for our Web Console


New Product Development

uniPoint is always committed to upgrading, enhancing and fixing bugs in our current modules. We

are also performing new development in the following areas:

Event Manager Module – a user configurable module that allows for automated emailing out

of uniPoint (slated for mid to late 2012 release)

Writing data back to Syspro and Consona ERP system databases when certain events happen

in uniPoint
