Passionfruit Enzyme

Description

Professional Use Only. The Passionfruit enzyme is meant to increase blood circulation and firm the skin. Passionfruit is a natural enzyme, as well as a great antioxidant to give the skin a healthy glow. Kollaren peptide increases resiliency and elasticity in the skin by supporting the dermal tissue strength provided by collagen types I and III.

Tingle factor: 0 – 2 pH: 3.0

• Tones and warms

• Firms

• Antioxidant

• Exfoliates and softens

Skin Types

Skin in need of firming

Because this enzyme creates dermal warmth, it is not recommended for rosacea, couperose, sensitive skin, clients with melasma, or Fitzpatricks 4 – 6.

Active Ingredients

• Passiflora Edulis (Passionfruit) Fruit is rich in carotenoid (Vitamin A), flavonoid (calming) antioxidants, and the enzyme catalase.

• Kollaren (listed as Water, Urea, Glucose and Guanidine HCL, and Tripeptide-1) increases the firmness of the skin by activating the extracellular matrix protein synthesis, such as collagen and elastin.

• Brassica Campestris (Rapeseed Oil) softens the skin and is a source of antioxidants.

• Morinda Citrifolia (Noni) Fruit Powder is an antioxidant rich in essential fatty acids and is also anti-inflammatory.

• Levisticum Officinale (Loveage) Oil supports the Kollaren peptide by increasing the potential of epidermal growth factors to support the growth of human keratinocytes.

Tips for Use

• You can use this enzyme with your client on a weekly basis.

• It provides mild exfoliation; the client will not peel.

• The skin gets red and warm and stays that way for several hours.

• Do not use this enzyme with steam on first time clients.

• Advanced protocol:

o Before applying the enzyme, use the 30% Glycolic Peel to exfoliate the upper layers of the stratum corneum.

o Neutralize and remove the peel.

o Apply the enzyme to ensure it penetrates deeper into the skin for added intensity.

Lemon Zest Enzyme

Description

Professional Use Only. The Lemon Zest Enzyme exfoliates and brightens the skin with the antioxidant and brightening benefits of lemon. This product contains 8% arbutin, 6% lactic acid, 3% glycolic acid, and 2% kojic acid. It is designed for normal and dry skin with pigmentation. It promotes deep hydration that protects from environmental damage while relieving the surface signs of aging. Arbutin and kojic acid also provide extreme lightening capabilities.

Tingle factor: 2 – 3 pH: 2.11

• Antioxidant

• Anti-aging

• Brightens

• Exfoliates

Skin Types

Normal to dry skin Mature skin

Hyperpigmentation and melasma Sun damaged skin

Active Ingredients

• Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon Zest) is a natural enzyme to digest dead skin cells. Lemon also clarifies the skin, acts as a natural antioxidant, and lightens the skin.

• Alpha-Arbutin is from the bearberry plant and is a non-irritating skin brightener. It is a natural alternative to hydroquinone.

• Witch Hazel is a flowering plant; it is a strong antioxidant and astringent that is often used as a natural remedy for psoriasis, eczema, and other skin conditions.

• L-Lactic Acid is an alpha hydroxy acid working as an exfoliant, allowing dead skin cells to slough off and making room for regrowth of new skin. It improves wrinkling and roughness, and it softens the skin.

• Glycolic Acid weakens desmosomes, allowing dead skin cells to slough off to reveal healthier, smoother, brighter looking skin.

• Kojic Acid inhibits melanin production by inhibiting tyrosinase. It also provides gradual and continual skin brightening to relieve skin discolorations.

• L-Ascorbic Acid is the chirally correct form of Vitamin C and the most effective for the skin to stimulate collagen production. L-Ascorbic Vitamin C is the only antioxidant that has been proven to increase collagen synthesis to maintain healthy skin.

Tips for Use

• This enzyme will “wow” your clients.

• The product has a shelf life of 2 – 3 months. One 4 ounce jar provides approximately 16 treatments.

• When using this enzyme on clients with rosacea or melasma, you may not want to use steam.

• Advanced “power facial” protocol: Mix in ½ tsp of 20% lactic acid to the enzyme for dry skin with pigmentation (can cause skin to be dry and flaky for 3-4 days).

20% Lactic Lightening Peel

Description

Professional Use Only. The 20% Lactic Lightening Peel contains lactic acid, a milk-based ingredient that is great for hydrating and exfoliating the skin in a gentle manner. The peel also includes two superb lighteners. You can use this product either as a booster for enzymes or on its own as a great lightening peel.

Tingle factor: 2 pH: 1.63

• Exfoliates

• Softens

• Hydrates

• Lightens

Skin Types

Normal to dry or sun damaged skin

Skin with hyperpigmentation

Active Ingredients

• L-Lactic Acid is an alpha hydroxy acid working as an exfoliant, which allows dead skin cells to slough off and make room for regrowth of new skin. It improves roughness, softens skin, and improves the appearance of wrinkles.

• Alpha-Arbutin is from the bearberry plant; is a non-irritating skin brightener. It is a natural alternative to hydroquinone.

• Kojic Acid inhibits melanin production by inhibiting tyrosinase. It also provides gradual and continual skin brightening to relieve skin discolorations.

Tips for Use

• This is a gentle peel and is great for first-time use on your clients.

• Visible peeling generally does not occur.

• To make a power facial, mix a half pump of this peel to any enzyme for extra hydration. Apply it to your client’s skin for 7 – 10 minutes with steam.

o By adding lactic acid to a facial, your client could be dry and flaky for the next 3 – 4 days.

o This could be considered double exfoliation, so check with your Board of Cosmetology and professional liability insurance company before combining exfoliation methods within one treatment.

Cranberry Turnover Peel

Tingle factor: 8 pH: 3.73

• Resurfaces and refines the skin and pores

• Removes oil and debris

• Excellent antioxidant

• Inhibits inflammation

Skin Types

Normal to oily and acneic skin

Inflamed and pustular acne

Active Ingredients

• Salicylic Acid provides exfoliation, preventing pore clogging. It also provides anti-inflammatory-like benefits from pustular acne.

• Witch Hazel is a flowering plant; it is a strong antioxidant and astringent that is often used as a natural remedy for psoriasis, eczema, and other skin conditions.

10% TCA Depigmentation Peel

8-Week Peel Protocol

The 10% TCA Depigmentation peel is designed for lifting pigmentation and melasma; it is also suitable for acne. This TCA has been buffered with the lightening ingredients of kojic acid, azelaic acid and arbutin. This is a mild, gentle TCA designed to be used in a 4 peel series over 8 weeks. This peel series is safe for all Fitzpatrick types 1- 6. The series should be done in order and in a timely manner. The client must be on the Skin Script complete homecare regimen at least 1 week prior to the series and during the series. The Glycolic/Retinol Pads are the skin lightening product and should be used twice a day, directly on the pigmentation. Adjust the usage if needed. The TCA has a tingle factor of approximately 2. This gentle TCA peel is self-neutralizing and takes about 8 hours to be metabolized by the skin. Your client will leave with this peel on their skin. Manage client expectations by establishing that they may not see visible peeling. Post Peel Care: After the Lactic and Glycolic peels, the client may continue using all the homecare as long as there is no irritation. After the TCA peels, they can expect 3-4 days of flaking; only use the Green Tea Citrus Cleanser, Acai Berry Moisturizer and SPF. Once the skin has finished flaking, they may resume use of the Glycolic Cleanser, Retinol Scrub and Glycolic/Retinol Pads.

Post Peel Instructions With glycolic and lactic peels, there should be little to no flaking; it is a micro peel and you do receive shedding, just at a microscopic level. Keep in mind with glycolic or lactic peels that it’s a series of peels to achieve your desired results. You do not necessarily have to discontinue the pre-peel care during these light peels. It is important that you always use a sunblock of at least SPF 15.

With salicylic or TCA peels, there is flaking. Every person is different on how much peeling or flaking he/she will receive. After a salicylic or TCA peel, it is important to follow these instructions.

Morning

1. Cleanse: Green Tea Citrus Cleanser

2. Hydrate: Acai Berry Moisturizer or Peptide Restoration Moisturizer

3. Protect: Sheer Protection SPF 30

Evening

1. Cleanse: Green Tea Citrus Cleanser

2. Hydrate: Acai Berry Moisturizer

Pre/Post Peel Homecare Protocol

Important Notes

• Exercise, sauna, whirlpool, and hot tub should be avoided (perspiration is salty and can cause drying and flaking of the skin); it is preferable to wait until the peel process is complete (generally 7-10 days).

• If small patches of irritation occur, apply a hydrocortisone cream on the area for 2-3 days. DO NOT PULL ANY SKIN OFF YOUR FACE – NO MATTER HOW SMALL THE AREA. Skin needs to flake off, not pulled off. This cortisone 1% cream is available at a local pharmacy.

• It is within normal limits to experience a slight crusting of the face; also some discoloration may occur. All of these occurrences are temporary. Remember that we are chemically burning the skin so it dries and flakes off.

• What to expect after a salicylic or TCA peel:

Day 1: Pink to red skin

Day 2: Skin looks normal but starting to look brown.

Day 3: Skin looks brown, wrinkly. This is the effect of the chemical peel; it will flake off!

Day 4: Skin is beginning to crack and the start of peeling occurs. Do not pick.

Days 5-7: Skin is flaking and peeling off. Do not pick. New, fresh skin is revealed.

Days 8-10: Cheeks and forehead will continue to slough, but the results of the peel are being seen with fresh, healthy skin.

• Brightens skin

• Provides chemical and physical exfoliation

• Enhances cellular turnover

• Assists in skin rejuvenation

Skin Types

All skin types

Acneic and aging skin

Active Ingredients

• Jojoba Beads provide the physical exfoliation component of the product. They gently buff away dead surface debris and leave behind jojoba esters, which are a moisture retaining component of natural skin sebum.

• Kojic Acid (2%) lightens skin discolorations, slows the production of melanin, and assists in maintaining desired skin coloration after aggressive depigmentation treatments.

• Retinol dissolves keratinization, resurfaces and smoothes the skin, and stimulates collagen production to improve skin quality and youthfulness.

Tips for Use

• For most skin types, use this product with the Glycolic Cleanser 2 – 3 times per week. The Glycolic Cleanser breaks up the dead, keratinized skin, and the Retinol 2% Exfoliating Scrub/Mask polishes off the dead skin. The retinol also starts desquamating the follicle lining so impactions can purge.

• For sensitive skin or rosacea, use this product with the Green Tea Citrus Cleanser 2 – 3 times per week.

• For use as a mask, apply a thin layer and allow the actives to penetrate into the skin for 5 – 10 minutes.

Beta-Carotene/Papain Renewal Serum

Description

The Beta-Carotene/Papain Renewal Serum offers a mild exfoliation for sensitive skin. It is an excellent exfoliant for pregnant or lactating women because of its natural ingredients.

• Improves skin barrier integrity by balancing surface lipids

• Exfoliates to minimize acne and/or impacted pores

• Exfoliates to lessen the appearance of visible wrinkles

• Provides anti-inflammatory-like benefits

Skin Types

All skin types

Active Ingredients

• Olivem® (Cetearyl Olivate and Sorbitan Olivate) is a combination of fatty acids that restores and maintains the integrity of the skin barrier.

• Beta-Carotene (D) is an orange pigment found in many plants. It is a very stable antioxidant and is a precursor to Vitamin A. Do not consider beta-carotene to be a “less than” effective ingredient; in addition to vitamin A synthesis for cell protection from lipid peroxidation, beta-carotene has photo-protective properties.

• X-pressin™ (Water, Papain/Carbomer Copolymer, 1,2 Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Algin) 1% is Papain, an enzyme derived from papayas. It digests keratin proteins to help accelerate exfoliation leaving the skin softer and smoother. It is an antioxidant as well as an anti-inflammatory.

• Rosmarinyl Glucoside soothes inflammation and prevents degradation of extra cellular matrix.

• Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice provides pain relieving properties to reduce discomfort associated with acne. It heals, provides hydration and UV absorption protection, and reduces redness.

• Allantoin improves moisture retention, soothes and normalizes the skin, stimulates tissue growth, and provides anti-inflammatory-like benefits.

Tips for Use

• Apply the Beta-Carotene/Papain Renewal Serum to the skin every night after cleansing and/or exfoliating.

• Apply moisturizer over the serum.

• Reduce usage if flaking occurs.

• Reduces congestion

• Lessens oil production

• Provides antibacterial-like properties

• Soothes cystic breakouts

• Enhances cellular turnover

Skin Types

Oily and acneic skin

Active Ingredients

• Glycolic Acid (2%) is a deeply penetrating alpha hydroxy acid that reduces wrinkles and promotes resurfacing to refine skin texture. It provides progressive skin clearing and promotes cellular renewal that expedites the healing of breakouts.

• Salicylic Acid (2%) penetrates into the pores to dissolve impacted sebum that causes blackheads. It exfoliates the skin and reduces redness and inflammation associated with pustular breakouts.

Retinaldehyde Serum with IconicA®

Description

This ultimate anti-aging serum is to be used in the evening for cell repair and health. As cells go under oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation, Vitamins A (retinaldehyde) & B3 (niacinamide) condition the cell membrane encouraging cellular respiration. This allows nutrition to flow into the cell and helps cellular waste escape. The mitochondria (cell energy source) is treated for DNA repair, in essence treating for lipofuscin and solar lentigines. SymWhite contains potent levels of tyrosinase inhibitors to work on even skin tone. Bisabolol soothes skin sensitivities so this serum will not irritate the skin.

• Treats skin cell health

• Brightens and tones the tissue

• Encourages fibroblast activity and lessens the appearance of wrinkles

• Antioxidant

Skin Types

Gentle enough for sensitive skins; all skin types in need of rejuvenation and anti-aging care.

Active Ingredients

• IconicA (Retinal/Retinaldehyde) 2.5% converted into 0.1% Retinaldehyde is a stable and non-irritating form of Vitamin A addressing cell membrane health. As cells are exposed to environmental pollution and stress, IconicA allows for permeability of the cell to allow nutrition to flow in and cellular waste to escape the cell. This leads to healthy, soft cells with an even skin tone.

• Niacinamide (5%) is Vitamin B3 addresses many skin disorders due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Vitamin B3 addresses cellular respiration, lipid synthesis, inhibiting skin pigmentation and improving epidermal barrier function. Vitamin B3 treats the mitochondria (energy source) of the cell to repair DNA damage from the sun. Vitamin B3 also treats inflammatory acne.

• Carnitine (L) transports essential fatty acids into mitochondria for energy production, increasing skin turnover and limiting trans epidermal water loss.

• SymWhite TM (Phenylethyl Resorcinol) is an effective skin brightener and antioxidant containing potent levels of tyrosinase inhibition.

• Bisabolol (L-Alpha) acts as an anti-inflammatory, promotes wound healing, reduces sensitivity, and alleviates heat while soothing skin irritation.

Tips for Use

• Apply in the evening after cleansing and toning. Apply moisturizer on top.

Tri-Peptide Eye Cream

Description

The Tri-Peptide Eye Cream opens the eye zone for a refreshed, youthful appearance. It softens skin and firms the eye area, stimulates circulation and improves tissue strength while encouraging healthy cellular skin functions.

• Lessens the appearance of wrinkles

• Prevents water loss from the skin

• Soothes and calms

Skin Types

Normal to dry skin to hydrate eye area

Active Ingredients

• Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil replenishes and restores the skin with nourishing fatty and amino acids to increase moisture retention.

• Squalane is a major component of human skin surface lipids (or oils). It helps keep skin soft and healthy, and its antioxidant capabilities help protect from the harsh effects of the environment. It facilitates the permeation of the active ingredients and prevents the loss of water from the skin, improving skin appearance and health.

• Caffeine stimulates and promotes healthy detoxification.

• Jojoba Seed Oil is an emollient plant oil that has healing qualities. It penetrates the stratum corneum rapidly to reduce water loss. It is quickly absorbed and is excellent for dry and mature skin.

• Shea Butter is ideal for dry and aging skin. Its unique fatty acid helps moisturize and retain the elasticity of the skin. It also helps protect the skin against the damaging effects of the sun (provides enhanced UV-B protection) while repairing cellular degeneration.

• Reproage™ (listed as Water, Disodium Phosphate, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Sodium Phosphate, Caprylyl Gycol) is a peptide which helps create a smoother, more radiant and visually rejuvenated complexion. The skin regenerates itself at a rate equivalent to that of 17 years younger (volunteers aged 50-55), and roughness decreased up to 41.3% (56 days, 2% peptide solution), as observed in vivo.

• ChroNOline (Caprooyl Tetrapeptide-3) is a peptide derived from a growth factor. It boosts collagen production, activates skin repair, and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

• Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Leaf Extract boosts the immune function of the skin cells and protects against sun damage.

• Alpha Lipoic Acid is an antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals in both the fatty and watery regions of cells (both water and oil soluble).

• rH Oligopeptide-1 (EGF) is a peptide to accelerate the growth of epidermal cells. It reduces wrinkles and assists in wound healing.

Tips for Use

• Use a small, pea-sized amount daily morning and evening to hydrate the skin.

Enzymes

Q: Because the Passionfruit Enzyme warms up the dermis, which clients should I avoid using this product on?

A: Avoid using this on higher Fitzpatricks (4 – 6) or clients with melasma, rosacea or couperous skin.

Q: Which enzymes can I use steam with? Which ones should I not apply steam with?

A: We suggest that you do NOT use steam with the Passionfruit Enzyme or Pumpkin-Orange Enzyme, but all the others can be used with steam. Use your best judgment based on the client.

Q: When should I neutralize an enzyme?

A: Typically, don’t neutralize unless the client says her face is tingly – then you would neutralize.

Q: Can I dilute or cut the enzymes if they’re too strong for a client?

A: Yes. Try mixing one part enzyme with one part Goji Berry Yogurt mask to cut intensity of the enzyme.

Q: What is shelf life of the enzymes?

A: All enzymes are good for one year after opening, EXCEPT Lemon Zest enzyme which is 2 – 3 months.

Q: How can I extend the shelf life of the Lemon Zest Enzyme?

A: Put it in the freezer on days when you aren’t doing treatments. Just remember to take it out the morning of a treatment.

Masks

Q: The Strawberry Spearmint Mask is creamy. Why would I use that on a client with oily skin?

A: A primary ingredient in this mask is Kaolin—a clay that absorbs oil. It’s added to a cream base to make it easier for you to manipulate and remove but still does a great job absorbing oil on the skin.

Q: What can I use for massage or concurrently with micro current or LED light?

A: You can use the Seaweed Mask as a massage medium. It is a gel mask that can be used with micro current or LED. Be sure to let the client know that it will feel cold at first and then will start to warm up.

Q: Can I customize the masks?

A: Yes, consider putting Strawberry Spearmint in the T-zone and Seaweed or Goji Berry on the perimeter of the face for hydration.

Q: What is shelf life of the masks?

A: One year after opening

Chemical Peels

Q: What are contraindications to peels?

A: Sun exposure, pregnancy, breast feeding, certain medications/antibiotics, Accutane, Retin-A, illnesses. This list could be extensive, so please use your best judgment in selecting peel candidates.

Q: When would I want to use the Lactic Lightening Peel by itself?

A: You might choose to use it with a first-time client, while you’re getting to know her skin or if you’re unsure whether you want to do a peel series.

Q: For the Cranberry Turnover Peel, why did you choose to put the salicylic in a cranberry cream base?

A: Generally, if you work with a client with oily, acneic skin, you will see a lot of inflammation. The cranberry cream base helps reduce inflammation and nourish the skin.

Q: Can you do a peel on certain areas of the face?

A: Sure! For example, if a client has acne on only certain areas of her face, do a spot treatment/peel on only those areas.

Q: When should I neutralize peels?

A: Lactics and glycolics are alpha hydroxy acids and should be neutralized when used alone. To neutralize mix 1 cup of water with 1 tsp baking soda. Dip 4 x 4 aesthetic wipes into the solution and remove the lactic or glycolic from the skin. With salicylic and TCA, they will self-neutralize.

Q. Should I neutralize when I mix the enzymes and an acid together?

A: Generally no. However, if your client is very tingly after the treatment, use your best judgment and neutralize to stop any action.

Q: What is the shelf life of the chemical peels?

A: At least 1 year after opening

Homecare Protocols

Q: Can I adjust the morning/evening routine within these homecare protocols?

A: Absolutely; these are only suggestions and we rely on the aesthetician to advise the client when to use the products.

Q: I would like the Peptide Restoration Moisturizer in the Dry Skin Protocol (instead of the Hydrating Moisturizer). Can that be changed?

A: Sure! Use the prescription pad and make a custom recommendation rather than relying on the protocol.

Q: The Mild and Moderate Acne Protocols seems like a lot of exfoliation. What could I do to change that?

A: Keep the protocol the way it is, but add the Cucumber Hydration Toner and use it interchangeably with the Clarifying Toner Pads.

Q: My client is dry but has hyperpigmentation she wants to work on. Are there any lightening products in the Dry Skin Protocol?

A: Please add in the Glycolic/Retinol Pads to her routine. She should use them twice a day (if possible without over-drying her skin) directly on the brown spots.

Cleansers

Q: My client uses the Glycolic Cleanser 2 – 3 times per week and says her skin feels tight. Is that normal?

A: Yes, that’s normal. The cleanser is breaking everything down. Suggest hydration afterward, such as the Cucumber Hydration Toner and Ageless Skin Hydrating Serum.

Q: Should I put teenagers on the Glycolic Cleanser?

A: Probably not, since a teenager’s skin already sheds rapidly. Try using the Raspberry Refining Cleanser first.

Q: My client says that the Pomegranate Cleanser does not remove makeup. Should it?

A: The Pomegranate Cleanser does not have a foaming agent. Massage the cleanser into the skin and remove with a warm, wet washcloth. It will remove oil, make-up, dirt leaving the skin feeling very soft and clean.

Q: My client only wants one cleanser; what would be most effective on a daily basis?

A: As long as she’s not too dry, she can use the Raspberry Refining Cleanser twice a day.

Page 157: Table of Contents...Last Revision: September 2020 Page 1 Table of Contents Enzymes Passionfruit Enzyme .....7 Raspberry Peach Enzyme .....11

Last Revision: September 2020 Page 156

Exfoliants

Q: How often do you want lighteners on the melanocyte if you’re trying to fade pigment?

A: All the time, so recommend the Glycolic/Retinol Pads morning and night on the brown spots. This is safe for all Fitzpatrick types.

Q: My client is using the Glycolic/Retinol Pads twice a day to fade pigment, and she is feeling dry. What should I recommend?

A: Ask her if she can use a heavier moisturizer to compensate for the dryness until you are happy with the results of the pigment. If not, reduce the usage to 5 – 7 times per week.

Q: My client is using the Clarifying Toner Pads and feels they are too drying; she is almost flaky. What should I recommend?

A: Ask how often she is using the pads because 2% salicylic can be drying. If she is using them every day or twice a day, ask her to reduce the usage to 2 – 3 times per week. Include the Cucumber Hydration Toner on the other days for extra hydration.

Q: What exfoliation is appropriate for pregnant women?

A: The Raspberry Refining Scrub and Beta-Carotene/Papain Renewal Serum are a perfect pair for pregnant women because they are mild and contain ingredients that are safe for pregnant and lactating women.

Q: My client is asking for a retail mask. Do you have one?

A: The Retinol 2% Scrub/Mask can also be used as a mask. Leave it on for 10 minutes, twice a week.

Serums

Q: What are some tips for working with a client who has milia?

A: Encourage her to drink more water to hydrate her skin, and have her use the Ageless Hydrating Serum twice a day (morning and night) to put the water component back in her skin. Within four weeks, you should be able to start lancing and extracting the milia more easily. Within eight weeks, the milia should start resolving because the root cause has been addressed.

Q: What will help with cystic acne?

A: The Blemish Spot Treatment. It’s not going to heal the cystic acne completely, but if the client starts using the serum as soon as they feel the cysts forming, they can keep them at bay so they never come to the surface.

Page 158: Table of Contents...Last Revision: September 2020 Page 1 Table of Contents Enzymes Passionfruit Enzyme .....7 Raspberry Peach Enzyme .....11

Last Revision: September 2020 Page 157

Serums, continued

Q: Can all the serums be applied to the eye area?

A: All of the serums are safe on the eye area; however, some clients’ eyes can be sensitive to the Vitamin C Green Tea Serum. If your client is flaky around the eye area due to the Vitamin C Green Tea Serum, avoid that area in the future.

Q: What is your best anti-aging serum?

A: Vitamin C Green Tea serum contains Vitamin C and E and will fight free radicals and slow the oxidation process. It will help to stimulate collagen and minimize irregular pigmentation.

Moisturizers

Q: What moisturizer should I use for sensitive skin?

A: You can recommend either the Acai Berry Moisturizer or the Cacteen Balancing Moisturizer, depending on whether the client wants something heavier (Acai Berry) or mid-weight (Cacteen).

Q: Should I change moisturizers seasonally?

A: Yes! Generally, our skin is drier in the Winter and oilier in the Summer. Adjust the moisturizer in the Fall and Spring.

Q: My client is a little on the oily side. Can she use the Sheer Protection SPF 30?

A: Absolutely. Have her use the SPF 30 in lieu of her Light Aloe Moisturizer during the day.

Q: Which moisturizer would be appropriate for acneic skin?

A: Light Aloe Moisturizer, Ageless Skin Moisturizer, or Cacteen Balancing Moisturizer

Q: Which moisturizer do you recommend for cold, dry climates and very dry skin?

A: The heaviest moisturizer is the Hydrating Moisturizer.

Drop Ship Policy

A drop ship is when an aesthetician or business requests Skin Script to ship retail product(s) directly to their customers.

The aesthetician will call us, place the order with us, give us the customer’s full name and complete shipping address; we will charge the aesthetician’s credit card for the wholesale price, leaving the transaction for the retail price, up to the aesthetician and her client.

Key Points to Placing a Drop Ship Order Online:

• Add Client's full name and address to your 'Address Book' before placing the items in your cart

• 'Address Book' can be found on the homepage by clicking 'Welcome' in the upper right-hand corner

• At checkout, change the shipping address to your Client's address

• Click 'Drop Ship Order'

• Please note that the aesthetician must use her own credit card, not the customer’s card.

We will ship directly to the “retail” customer with NO pricing information included, and the invoice is emailed to the aesthetician or business email on file.

Please note: Due to regulatory laws the Skin Script enzymes and peels cannot be drop shipped.

All orders placed with a card other than the account holder, or a person notated on the account will be put on hold for further investigation.

Web/Internet Sales Policy

Skin Script should only be purchased from licensed aestheticians and/or physicians/medical spa offices. It is to be

recommended and used under the direction of a professional.

Skin Script does believe in the convenience of 21st century technology and will allow individual aestheticians and/or

physicians/medical spa offices to sell product on their own website for the convenience of their customers. The product will

not be discounted on-line, as it diminishes the retail value.

Skin Script does not believe in internet sales on large, mass website such as Amazon.com, Skincarerx.com, Ebay.com, Craigslist,

and so on. The product is then purchased without direction on how to use the product, and it tends to become discounted.

Discounting on-line creates a domino effect of diminishing retail value. It then becomes undesirable by estheticians or spas to

carry the product in-house because of discounting on-line.

Any person or business found to be marketing and selling product on-line with mass retail websites will not be allowed to

purchase from Skin Script.
