Table of Contents in Microsoft Word
This PowerPoint is part of our 60 second tips series
Make sure your document is using recognised heading styles as shown below. You can use the default Microsoft styles or we have created a 60 second video on how to create your own heading styles.
Under the References ribbon select Table of Contents.
The first two options on the list will use Microsoft’s default Heading Styles to create your table of contents.
To match the table of contents to your own custom Heading Styles the select Custom Table of Contents.
Then select Options.
Remove the TOC levels and add them to your heading style the in the Available Styles list. Click OK.
