Day to day affairs of running theSchool are being managed by thePrincipal assisted by appropriate staffunder overall supervision of the SchoolCommittee comprising of 3 or 4 rep-resentatives of the Trust, the Principal anda representative of the teaching and non-teaching staff.

The School Building is spacious withall modern facilities and is designed toaccommodate students of Nursery &Kindergarten (Jr. & Sr.) with a seatingcapacity of approx 1500 students; The

motto of the school reads ""{dÚm {dZ`oZemo Vo'' which means “Modesty adornsknowledge.”

The School does not receive anyGrant-in-Aid from the Government and theonly source of income is the amount offees collected from the students.

The Trust holds exemption u/s 80Gof the Income Tax Act and is registeredwith the Charity Commissioner underRegistration No.E8297 (BOM) dated 17-8-1981 as a Public Charitable Trust withthe object to establish and/or runeducational institutions.

Any constructive suggestion from theparents whose children are beingadmitted to the Pre-School shall alwaysbe welcome. The Trust Office is housedin the Yashodham High School Building,Goregaon (E), Mumbai - 400 063, wheresuch constructive suggestions can berecorded with the Trustee-in-charge.

The medium of instruction in thePre-School is English with 10 NurseryClasses, 5 Jr. K.G. & 5 Sr. K.G. Classes.The Academic Year of the School beginsin June.

essential. Please send a written note conveying reason/s for

the absence.

• Abstain from giving flowers or presents to teachers.

• To celebrate your child’s birthday, you may donate a book to the

• Do not send any kind of sweets for distribution.

• Notify immediately any change in address and/or telephone

number.

• Create a home library and encourage your child to handle books,

independently.

• Minimise television viewing.

• Abstain from sending your child to a private tutor.

• Go through the school circulars sent time to time

carefully.

• Encourage your child to participate in the field trips

and activities.

• Send the consent form when asked for on time.

Instructions

The optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty.

• Term fees must be paid in June for theI term and November for the II term.

• Admission fee will be charged foradmission in NURSERY & ALL NEWADMISSIONS.

• Fee for the months of April & May mustbe paid in April and this holds goodeven for those who wish to leave theschool in April/May.

• The delay of payment beyond 3months renders a pupil liable to bestruck off the roll. If the pupil is re-admitted the admission fee must bepaid again.

• If a student is to be withdrawn, onecalendar month’s notice should begiven in writing by the Parent/Guardianto the Principal of the school to arrangefor the refund of the balance of tuitionfees. In exceptional circumstances ofwithdrawal, one month’s tuition fee inlieu of one calendar month’s notice willhave to be paid. Amount collected as

Term Fee or Tuition Fee will not berefunded.

• Unless all dues are paid, the progressof the child will not be communicatedto the parent. School LeavingCertificate will not be issued till all theoutstanding dues from the student atthe time of leaving the school are paidand clearance certificate from theconcerned authority is obtained.

• Students who leave the school in themonth previous to any vacation mustpay the fees for the vacation.

• No deduction in fees will be allowedfor vacations or for broken period ofthe month. Full month’s fee will bepayable if the student’s name appearson the roll on the 1st day of the month.Admission fee will not be refundedeven if the student, for any reason,leaves the school immediately aftersecuring admission.

ELIGIBILITY FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2012-2013

• a) Nursery - Children born between 1st Jan. 2010 & 31st Dec. 2010.

b) Jr. K.G. - Children born between 1st Jan. 2009 & 31st Dec. 2009.

c) Sr. K.G. - Children born between 1st Jan. 2008 & 31st Dec. 2008.

• Admission will be granted to those who comply with the eligibility criteria. No relaxation

in age limit will be given.

• On being granted admission, the parent/guardian will have to fill in the Application

form and Admission form.

DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION :

• Photo copy of the birth certificate.

• 3 passport size photographs.

• Proof of residence.

• All withdrawals from the school can be made only on a written request for the same by

the parent/guardian of the child to the Principal. Application for a leaving certificate

should be made by the parent or guardian on the prescribed form provided in this

manual.

NOTE : STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO COME IN FULL SCHOOL UNIFORM ON ALLDAYS OF THE WEEK.SCHOOL IDENTITY CARD MUST BE WORN ON ALL DAYS.UNIFORM AND SHOES OTHER THAN THE PATTERN RECOMMENDED BYTHE SCHOOL WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.STUDENTS SHOULD NOT COME TO SCHOOL, WEARING SLIPPERS,FLOATERS OR SPORTS SHOES.GIRLS MUST WEAR BLACK ELASTIC HAIR BAND. The school provides bus service to the Studentsof VASANT VIHAR PlaymatePre-School, under the aegisof G.A.E.T.

INSTRUCTIONS:

• The bus facility is extended to students onlywhen there is an availability of seat and isoffered at the Principal’s discretion. This offercan be withdrawn any time.

• Students will board and alight only at fixedbus stops. Parents and children arerequested not to ask the driver or attendantto stop the buses at unauthorised bus stops.

• Parents are not permitted to change the busstops without prior permission.

• Children must obey and be courteous to thebus in-charge. Children found misbehavingin the bus will not be allowed to continueavailing the bus facility.

• In the event of the child not being at thestop at scheduled time the bus willproceed without the child. It will be theresponsibility of the parent/ guardian to reachthe child to school. In the event of there beingno one to receive the child at the stop of thereturn journey the child will be brought backto the school and the parents will have tocollect their child from the school authoritieson presentation of their identity card.

Bus facilityIDENTITY CARD:

• Children using the bus facility need to carry aBus ID Card issued by the School.

• In case there is a change in the residentialaddress the school office must be notifiedimmediately and a fresh ID card must beobtained.

• If the Bus ID card is lost a written applicationrequesting a duplicate ID card must besubmitted in the school office immediately.Collect the duplicate ID card from the SchoolOffice.

WITHDRAWAL

• Parents must note that no refund will be madeagainst bus fees.

• One month advance notice in writing must begiven by the parents to the school office, incase they wish to discontinue the bus facility.
