1.0 Introduction TECH DRIVE puts your customers inside the 2019 Altima to experience firsthand how Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies watch, alert, and even react to the world around it to make every drive better. TECH DRIVE is divided into 4 scenes, or chapters. Each chapter highlights a different NIM technology. The chapters can be played in any order. There’s never been a more immersive way to demonstrate Nissan technology. Complete all the setup steps below to instantly transform your showroom into a TECH DRIVE VR facility.

1.1 Why VR? Virtual Reality (VR) provides an immersive, simulated auditory and visual experience that lets people go beyond what’s possible in physical reality, enabling you to demonstrate Nissan Intelligent Mobility and Safety Shield® 360º technologies in ways you’d never be able to on a standard test drive.

1.2 How does it work? TECH DRIVE uses an Oculus Go VR headset and the TECH DRIVE app, developed specifically for this experience. The headset comes pre-installed with the app, all you need to do is follow the setup steps. Your customers will put the headset on, activate TECH DRIVE, and proceed any one of the four scenarios, each designed to demonstrate and describe how Altima’s various safety and drive technologies make every drive better and safer.

Page 4: Table of Contents...Each chapter highlights a different NIM technology. The chapters can be played in any order. There’s never been a more immersive way to demonstrate Nissan technology

4

1.3 What’s the benefit? TECH DRIVE is a powerful tool that teaches customers the benefits of Altima’s technologies by allowing them to virtually experience how truly innovative they are – firsthand. The shopper gets to experience hard to understand Nissan Intelligent Mobility features in a safe and exhilarating way that can’t be accomplished in a test drive alone.

2.0 What’s in the TECH DRIVE Kit Dealerships will receive the materials for TECH DRIVE in two separate shipments. The Dealer Kit (which should arrive second) contains the VR hardware required for the experience itself while the Promotional Materials Package contains the graphic, stanchion and poster for promoting TECH DRIVE holding the VR unit.

*Feature availability is dependent on vehicle model year, model, trim level, packaging and options.

3.1 Physical Layout • Park the 2019 Altima with the driver’s side facing toward the customer’s viewpoint • You will want a clear area approximately 8 ft x 8ft beside the Altima to place the floor

graphic and stanchion when positioning the vehicle in your showroom

Page 8: Table of Contents...Each chapter highlights a different NIM technology. The chapters can be played in any order. There’s never been a more immersive way to demonstrate Nissan technology

(FIG 3.1)

● Please be sure there are no tripping hazards around where the floor graphic and stanchion and will be placed

○ E.g. Please clear any objects or cords other than the vehicle from this area

3.2 Floor Graphic and Stanchion Positioning Place the Floor Graphic

● The floor graphic is made up of two separate halves and is supplied in Point of Purchase Kit 1/2. It is used to identify the correct location for the headset stanchion and show customers where to stand or sit (a swiveling chair should be used) during the experience. They can also use the stanchion for balance if needed.

● The floor graphic should be placed 1 ft from the driver’s side (ie. 1 ft between the Altima and the outer edge of the graphic)

○ The plastic card tool provided in the kit can be used to apply it and helps to eliminates bubbling

○ Place the two parts of the floor graphic so that the front of the stanchion (when placed) and the TECH DRIVE logo face the customer

○ Ensure the floor area is clean and dry prior to applying the graphic. ○ Depending on the orientation of the vehicle within the dealership, the floor graphic can

be angled to allow for optimal visibility from elsewhere in the dealership for both the graphic and the stanchion

Tiles on a map

Page 18: Table of Contents...Each chapter highlights a different NIM technology. The chapters can be played in any order. There’s never been a more immersive way to demonstrate Nissan technology

18

7.2 Linking Your Tiles to the App Adding a Tile to your app is easy! Just follow these quick instructions for each new Tile that you would like to use:

• The Tile should be attached to the Oculus Go headset • Add a Tile: Tap the + button to add a Tile. • Press the "Tile" button or "e" button firmly on the Tile until you hear it play a tune. • Activate your Tile.

7.3 Using Your Tile to Locate a Device There are three ways that the Tile Mate can help you locate it.

1. Ring Your Tile 2. View Your Tile’s Last Known Location on the Map 3. Enable “Notify wen found” to enlist the power of your community

7.3.1 How to Ring Your Tile Ringing your Tile is the fastest way to find it when it’s nearby. You need to be in Bluetooth Range and connected to your Tile to be able to ring it.

1. Open up the Tile app to find your list of Tiles. 2. Tap the Tile in your list you want to ring. 3. Tap the green “Find” button 4. Listen for the Tile tune

After you’ve found your Tile, tap the blue “Done” button or press once firmly on the Tile button to make your Tile stop ringing.

7.3.2 How to View Your Tile’s Last Known Location on the Map

To check your map: 1. Open the Tile app and tap on the Tile you want to locate. 2. Click “Options” and then click on “View on map” to see your Tile’s last known an approximate location. If you want to see and even more precise location, tap on the bubble representing your Tile to get walking or driving directions right to it! Once you arrive, check to see if your lost Tile comes in range so that you can ring it!

Page 19: Table of Contents...Each chapter highlights a different NIM technology. The chapters can be played in any order. There’s never been a more immersive way to demonstrate Nissan technology

19

Learn More about checking your tile on the map in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCIJ8M9xXO0 Don’t forget Leaving the app open - or “running in the background of your device” - is critical for your Tile to be able to communicate its location to your app.

7.3.3 Enable “Notify when found” to enlist the power of your community

The Tile community is always working to help each other keep track of their things. When a person with the Tile app open and running on their smartphone or tablet walks within Bluetooth range of any Tile, their app will automatically and anonymously update the location of that Tile. The Tile’s owner will then be able to see their Tile’s updated location on the map! This location isn’t shared with the person who updated it - it’s for your eyes only. If you’re looking for your Tile and you can’t ring it, nor is it where the map in the app is showing it was last seen by your device, you can request to be notified when someone updates your Tile’s location! Here’s how to ask to be notified when your Tile’s location is updated anonymously: 1. Open the app on your device 2. Tap on the Tile that you’re looking for 3. Tap the blue button that says “Notify When Found” 4. Confirm when prompted. *If you look in your Tile’s profile, the gray moving circle around your lost item means that you’ve selected “Notify When Found” for that item. Now you’ve just enlisted the power of the entire Tile community! How’s that for a search party? The moment someone with the Tile app passes by your missing Tile, you will immediately receive an email and in-app notification showing you when and where it was found.
