Message from the PTA President

Apparently, the PTA did not get the safety message regarding construction and alcohol….we are ready to get this party started in the building zone! Grab a beverage and spend like a construction tycoon. We may not be selling bulldozers, but there are plenty of outstanding items to choose from. This night is the highlight of PTA fundraising activities and allows you to play a primary role in supporting every child at Clermont and have some fun at the same time! Mingle with your neighbors, sip some wine with your child’s room parent, or get to know some of our excellent Clermont teachers and staff outside the realm of the classroom. There are many volunteer construction workers that have labored overtime to build this auction. They not only grabbed a hard-hat, but they may have been seen with a reflective vest and some steel-toed boots as well. These dedicated people were led by a couple of outstanding project managers and co-chairs, Dee Dee Denton and Nicole Olsen. With the help of their board liaison and vice president, Kate Seward, and board secretary, Jennifer Jones, they have worked very hard to provide us with an experience we won’t forget! Thanks to all of our sponsors and auction item donors, who have made this a truly wonderful auction. An extra thanks to the teachers and staff who donated experiences and activities as auction items. These are always wildly popular and give our children an opportunity to connect with their teachers outside of the classroom. I look forward to enjoying this evening with you. Guidelines & Rules

1. When you enter Collingwood, check-in at the front desk. If you have not yet purchased a ticket, you may pay by cash, check (payable to Clermont PTA) or credit card. You will be assigned a Bidder Number. Use this number when placing your bids.

2. Bidding for Silent Auction items will begin at 7:00 p.m. The auction will close in phases, as announced by the

emcee. You may bid on as many items as you like as often as you like. Bids may not be withdrawn.

3. Select items will be auctioned during the Live Auction at 9:15 p.m. Everyone is welcome to participate in the Live Auction bidding. All items will have a starting bid and increase by increments as predetermined by the Silent Auction Committee. Once bidding on an item appears to have stopped, the Auctioneer will give everyone two warnings before ending the bidding. The determination of a winning bid by the Auctioneer is final. All decisions are at the ultimate discretion of the Silent Auction Committee.

4. The Silent Auction Committee reserves the right to add, delete or change the order of sales or restrictions of any

auction item. Please note that all donation information in this program, while accurate to the best of our knowledge at the time of printing, is subject to change. Refer to item displays the evening of the auction for any updated and revised information.

5. No exchanges or refunds on Auction items are permitted. Everything is sold in “as is” or “where is” condition.

Please read and be aware of specifications, noted expirations, and limitations on each item and be respectful of the donor’s guidelines. Clermont PTA is not responsible for replacement or reimbursement of lost, stolen or expired (meaning winner did not use in time) auction items/certificates.

6. Successful bidders will not hold Clermont PTA, Clermont Elementary School, Silent Auction Committee and/or

donors of items and services liable for injury, bodily harm, or loss of life resulting from Auction items or services.

7. Each bid sheet posts the minimum bid, therefore the first recorded bid must be for at least that amount. Each new bid must be printed on the next line of the bid sheet. If a specific bid increment is indicated, bids must rise by at least that amount or they will be considered invalid.

8. All successful bids from the Auction will be filed and totaled for each guest. Payment for purchases must be

made in full by cash, check (made out to Clermont PTA), or credit card the evening of the event (Saturday, November 16, 2013). Items must be picked up the night of the auction unless other arrangements are made.

9. Thank you for your patience while waiting for the Silent Auction Committee to determine winning bidders and

while winning bidders pay for their goods.
