President’s Message

Dear Buhach Colony FFA Members,

I am honored to serve as your Buhach Colony FFA President this year. I hope

that your year will be filled with new friends, opportunities and adventures. Your time

in the Buhach Colony FFA may seem long now, but trust me when I say that it goes by

fast. Reach out to new people and step out of your comfort zone as you travel into a

world of new opportunities. You have the ability to inspire others and obtain a great

feeling of accomplishment as you find your niche within our chapter. My hope for you

is the you will gain the same life changing experiences that I have had the honor of

receiving throughout my last 3 years in the FFA. I have gained best friends, pride in my

accomplishments and a family to support me through the hard times. I challenge each

of you to take advantage of what our chapter has to offer, while you are gaining new

learning experiences. After all, we are LEARNERS TODAY, LEADERS TOMORROW,

AND FRIENDS FOREVER!

Sincerely,

Madison Homen

Officers’ Message Dear Buhach Colony FFA members, parents, staff, and supporters:

The 2015-2016 Buhach Colony FFA officer team is thrilled to offer you a fun filled year of opportunities and activities. We would like to invite you to join us on our journey to build leadership skills and prepare to be tomorrow’s leaders. We would also hope that each of you will gain valuable friendships along the way that you to can treasure for a lifetime! Each of us serving you are a testament to the many opportunities for personal growth by being involved in FFA. We have all found a deeply rooted passion for Agriculture and enjoy this opportunity to share it with all of you. We have found that our FFA family has been instrumental in guiding us in the right direction, and has helped each of us to achieve things beyond what we ever imagined. There is so much our FFA chapter has to offer and is just as diverse as the Agriculture industry itself. We hope that each of you take advantage of the opportunities ahead of you to gain experience and become a better leader, friend and team member by joining one of the various career development teams, speaking teams or obtaining a paid or non-paid entrepreneurship. By taking that first step, and being a part of an Ag class, you will truly enjoy “learning by doing.”

Whether your goal is to start your own business, win a state title or simply pass your Ag class, Buhach Colony FFA can provide you with the tools necessary to prepare you be tomorrow’s leaders! Fellow members and guests, get ready to learn, lead and have fun! Advisors’ Message Dear Buhach Colony FFA Members, This is an exciting time to be a member of the Buhach Colony FFA Chapter! Your officers have been

working hard to bring you a fun-filled year full of learning and leadership opportunities. The officer team

selected “Buhach Colony FFA – Learners Today, Leaders Tomorrow, Friends Forever” as the theme for this

2015-2016 school year, to reflect on their personal experiences within the FFA program, as well as their wish

for each of you as members. American Agriculture in our society, has such a great degree of differentiation

within the industry, and how it impacts our life as we develop future industry leaders is extremely important. It

is a goal of our chapter to prepare members to be tomorrows industry leaders through their studies and

experiences both in and out of the classroom . Along the way, we know you will build friendships and

relationships that you will treasure your entire life. Each person you encounter will be of value to you in your

life endeavors, and hope you find those that share your passions and work to enhance your abilities. Our chapter

is proud of its members and their success and looks forward to future accomplishments.

This year will be packed full of activities that each give every FFA member the opportunity to take

center stage and set the scene for their success, each growing in many ways, as they experience all that Buhach

Colony FFA has to offer. As your Chapter Advisors we look forward to another outstanding year, and

remember, we are always here to advise you

from time to time as the need arises.

Sincerely,

Mr. Avila Mrs. Von Allman Mr. Mancebo Mr. Obad 4

The FFA Creed

I believe in the future of agriculture, with a faith born not of words but of deeds-achievements won by the present and past generations of agriculturists; in the promise of better days through better ways, even as the better thing we now enjoy have come to us from the struggles of former years. I believe that to live and work on a good farm, or to be engages in other agricultural pursuits, is pleasant as well as challenging for I know the joys and discomforts of agricultural life and hold an inborn fondness for those associations which, even in hour of discouragement, I cannot deny. I believe in leadership from ourselves and respect from others. I believe in my own ability to work efficiently and think clearly, with such knowledge and skill as I can secure, and in ability of progressive agriculturists to serve out own and the public interest in producing and marketing the product of our toil. I believe in less dependence on begging and more power in bargaining; in the life abundant and enough honest wealth to make it so-for others as well as myself; in less need to charity and more of it when needed; in being happy myself and playing square with those whose happiness depends upon me. I believe that America agriculture can and will hold true to the best traditions of out national life and that I can exert an influence in my home and community which will stand solid for my part in the inspiring task. -E.M. Tiffany
