Today, standards will once more play a key role in the transition to a new era. The speed of change we are witnessing would not be possible without them. Innovators rely on International Standards, like those produced by IEC, ISO and ITU, to ensure compatibility and interoperability, so that new technologies can be seamlessly adopted. They are also a vehicle to spread knowledge and innovation globally. For example, security standards can keep our data safe and deter hackers. And safety standards for robots, will make it easier to interact with humans.

ACI greatly supports and participates in the World Standards Day 2018. Our aims are to absorb more new professional knowledge and certification information from the forum that improve ACI’s professional service and strengthen the confidence in certification.

ACI sponsored the 14th HKQMA Convention for the promotion of quality in industry

As a corporate social responsible corporation, “Support the development of industry” has always been one of the corporate spirit of Accredited Certification International Limited (ACI). ACI have been unswervingly implementing her own beliefs about that. Recently, ACI sponsored the 14th HKQMA Convention.

HKQMA was established in 1983 and has been actively promoting quality circle activities and quality management methods in Hong Kong. And providing a platform for experience sharing between Hong Kong and the rest of the world. This year's convention with the event theme "Quality – Core for Business Excellence". Through the event, professionals from China, Hong Kong and Macau among members from the China Quality Association, the Guangdong- Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area joined the event and share creative thinking and quality management culture as well as corporates including: MTRC, Lee Kum Kee Group, Airport Authority Hong Kong etc.

Participation in sponsorship is a manifestation of ACI's enthusiasm for the development of the industry. Promoting industrial quality is the basic responsibility of the company. In order to build a better society, ACI will continue to fulfill our corporate social responsibility to provide support the industry.

For World Standards Day, each year on 14 October, the members of the IEC, ISO and ITU celebrate World Standards Day, which is a means of paying tribute to the collaborative efforts of the thousands of experts worldwide who develop the voluntary technical agreements that are published as international standards.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution has begun, but in order to seize its full potential for the betterment of society, standards are definitely needed. Accreditation is the independent evaluation of conformity assessment bodies against recognised standards to ensure their impartiality and competence. Through the application of national and international standards, government, procurers and consumers can have confidence in the calibration and test results, inspection reports and certifications provided.Accreditation bodies are established in many countries with the primary purpose of ensuring that conformity assessment bodies are subject to oversight by an authoritative body.

The Hong Kong Certification Body Accreditation Scheme (HKCAS) under IAF MLA is operated under the auspices of the Hong Kong Accreditation Service (HKAS) offers accreditation to certification bodies for quality management system (QMS) certification, environmental management system (EMS) certification, product certification, food safety management system (FSMS) certification, occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS) certification, etc.

All Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) contractors are obliged to comply with the List Admission / Retention criteria as mentioned in Section 2.3.3 Quality, Environmental and Safety Management System, Part I “General Guidelines” of the “Guide to Registration of Works Contractors and Property Management Services Providers”.Therefore, a contractor shall operate recognized quality, environmental and safety management systems and shall be certified to the current version, i.e. ISO 9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 50001:2018 by a certification body. HA will only accept the certificates bearing the Hong Kong Certification Body Accreditation Scheme (HKCAS) Accreditation Marks

ACI Awarded ISO 37001:2016 Certificateto Able Engineering Company Limited

Accredited Certification International Limited (ACI) has recently awarded the ISO 37001:2016 Anti-bribery Management System Certificate to the Able Engineering Company Limited with the scope of “Construction of buildings”, “Building maintenance activities to keep, restore and improve the facilities of buildings and surrounding”.

Able Engineering Company Limited which has over 40 years of experience in building construction, repair, maintenance, alternation & addition works (RMAA), building conversion, design and build as well as fitting out works. Accredited Certification International Limited (ACI) has recently awarded the ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 Management System Certificates to Chun Wo Tunnel Management Limited for the extension of Shing Mun and Tseung Kwan O Tunnels

ACI is pleased to award IMS certifications for the new two tunnels to them as they have embraced and implemented an effective approach in each management system which is the recognition of sustainable development in Hong Kong construction industry. Chun Wo Tunnel Management Limited are subsidiary of City Services Group. They provide various services including management, operation and maintenance of transport infrastructure and facilities. They currently won two more tenders for a six-year management contracts at Tseung Kwan O Tunnels and Shing Mun Tunnels, by the Transport Department for the HKSAR Government. The achievement represents an affirmation of Chun Wo’s management service capabilities and also marked Chun Wo’s first milestone in its advance into tunnel management business.

To establish IMS, an integrated management system can streamline their core operations effectively and efficiently. It has been regarded as a sensible and useful corporate management strategy in this competitive business envi-ronment. Accredited Certification International Limited (ACI) has recently delivered an ISO 39001:2012 Road Traffic Safety (RTS) Management System Introduction training to Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd (KMB). This training is suitable for the public and private sectors whose interacted with RTS. Under the guidance of this belief, ASLL sta� also showed great enthusiasm help di�erent people who really need others’ helping hands through donations. Recently, ACI donated to Good Try Theatre’ s drama “Feudal and Civilization - Braid Cutting”.

Good Try Theatre was founded in 2011, is made up of a group of retired people who love stage plays. Through the performances in the community including elderly homes and schools. They hope to entertain people, serve the community and promote drama.

Participate in donation shows that ACI enthusiasm for development of the arts, it’s a basic responsibility of the enterprise to feed back the society and ACI has proved her mission in action. The above donation was arranged by The Professional and Social Services Association (PASS). Thanks for the PASS’ s full support and assistance.
