Tetragrammaton, the translators adopted the device used in most English versions of rendering that

name as “LORD” in capital letters…”

“Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their

What do the Scriptures have to say about the “devices” of

men?

“And they said there is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his

evil heart.”

Can you guess how many times the precious set apart Name of Yahweh has been

removed and replaced in the Scriptures?”At least

6823Times!

The New Open BibleJ, Study Edition 81990 by Thomas Nelson , Inc., on Page 72 states

in part…

2. “Comparisons with transliterations of the Name into other alphabets from very ancient times confirm this.”

3. “The best argument for the spelling is that it is probably historically accurate.”

1. “It is very likely that the Name was pronounced very much like ‘Yahweh’.”

Continuing, it states…

“HOWEVER, the RSV’s 1952 introduction explained its reason for

rejecting ‘Yahweh’ in the translation.

It said that it [Yahweh’s Name] lacks devotional qualities for English speaking Christians.”

What an arrogant attitude for the translators to say His Name “lacks devotional

qualities for English speaking Christians”!

Can you justify calling Him by any other Name but

Yahweh, now that you know the truth about the

translators?

All the reasons previously mentioned for the

replacement of Yahweh’s Name are similar throughout

most of the Modern Bible version and…Here’s 5

reasons why it is against Scripture.

REASON #1

It is transgression of the Third

Commandment which prohibits us from

bringing His Name to naught, or falsifying His Name. See Exodus

20:7

REASON #2

It is transgression of the Command in Deuteronomy

4:2,

“Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not take away from it.”

REASON #3

Yahweh reproves the prophets in Jeremiah

23:36,

“You have changed the words of the living

Elohim…”

REASON #4

“Lord” is not an innocent title. Besides tracing it back to the Roman house-deity, and further back to the

name of an Etruscan king, “Larth”, not forgetting that in those days, kings

were deities! This is transgression of the clear command of Exodus 23:13,

“And in all that I have said to you, take heed. And make no mention of the name of other mighty ones,

let it not be heard from your mouth.”

Ba’al’s name means “Lord” Ba’al’s day is “Sun-day” Sunday is “the Lord’s

Day”

Yahweh’sYahweh’s Name means “I I amam” His set-apart

day is “SabbathSabbath”

REASON #5 The chief substitute for YahwehYahweh in

the hearts of His people was the SUN deity known as “Ba’al”. 1

Kings 18:17-40

So why not call

Our Heavenly Father,

Jehovahinstead of

YaHWeH?

Here’s Why Not!

“Je”hovahIf “Je” is supposed to stand for

“Yah”...

and Strong’s Concordance #1943 & #1942 says “hovah” means:

“ruin, mischief, sense of eagerly coveting, iniquity,

mischievous, perverse thing, wickedness”

Do you then believe your Heavenly Father

“Yah” has the attributes of

“hovah”?No way! Those are

the Adversary’s attributes!

Did you know...Compton’s Interactive Encyclopedia says:

The Letter “J”

From Compton’s Interactive Encyclopedia © 1998 The Learning Company, Inc.

“The English letter J did not come into existence until the end of medieval times...”

“Not until the 17th century, however, was the distinction between J or j as a consonant and I or i as a vowel fully established.”

So there never was a letter “J” in all of

history until about 350 years ago!

To this very day, there is no Letter “J” or the sound of a “J” in either HEBREW or GREEK!

Now do you understand why the Riddle in Prov.

30:4?

So if there never was a Letter “J” until 350 years ago, then our

Heavenly Father’s Name could not be Jehovah and our beloved

Messiah’s Name (2000 years ago) could not have been Jesus.

“Y-H-W-H” are the English letters for

the Hebrew Tetragrammaton.

YaHWeH wrote His Name in Palaeo Hebrew on the stone

tablets of the Ten

Commandments as follows:

Our Heavenly Father even wrote His Name “in stone” in the Ten Commandments eight

times.

There is no dispute that our Messiah, (the Son of God as He is referred to)

who is truly none other than the only

begotten Son of Yahweh, was born a Hebrew, in a Hebrew

village, who had Hebrew parents and certainly was taught to speak Hebrew just like His friends and family!

Yes, many people have not yet realized that our Messiah was given a Hebrew Name even before His birth.

The angel Gabriel spoke to Miriam

(Mary)...

“And the messenger said to her, ‘Do not be afraid,

Miriam, for you have found favor with Elohim. And

see, you shall give birth to a Son, and call His Name

iwOvhy (Yahshua).’ He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Most

High. And HWHY (Yahweh) Elohim shall give Him the

throne of His father David.” Luke 1:30-32

So we have two ways to write our Father’s Name and His Son’s Name in

Hebrew.

Palaeo Hebrew is: ucWHYucWHY

Modern Hebrew is: iwOvhyiwOvhy

Here is a sample of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Most of it is written in Modern

Hebrew but Yahweh’s Name is still written in Palaeo Hebrew letters. (See

“blue arrow” above.)

There are numerous ways people use the English alphabet to “transliteratetransliterate”, not “translate” both Names. Here are a few examples, but the only perfect way is in Our Father’s native language, Hebrew!
