rials Safety. With the help
of these gentlemen GAF-
SED continues to provide
quality, educational and
professional training to
our membership and the
industry in Georgia.
The GAFSED board is al-
ready working on the
training schedule for
2012 please visit gaf-
sed.com often for 2012
class updates.
In closing I would like to
extend my wishes of
Merry Christmas to every-
one.
Jeff
2011 was another very
successful year for GAF-
SED, but after August 6th,
it was one of the most
difficult. On August 6th, we
lost a good friend and our
President, Randy Carlisle.
Randy was a founding
member of GAFSED and a
leader from day one. He
was much more than a
board member over the
eleven years of GAFSED;
he was the heart and
soul. It seemed like every
time the cards were
stacked against us,
Randy would give a
speech of ―never give up.‖
Randy was much more
that an industry leader. I
can honestly say that I
have never met a better
person in my life. Randy
was a friend, mentor, and
advisor and just about
anything else I needed. I
strive to live my life as
Randy did and thank God
that He put Randy into my
life.
GAFSED held its annual
meeting in September at
Stone Mountain Park.
This was a fun filled week-
end for all members and
their families. We would
like to thank all those that
participated. We would
especially like to thank all
of our sponsors for the
annual meeting; there
was a lot of hard work
behind the scenes by the
board members and
many others.
We would also like to
thank our outgoing 2011
board members Coy Clark
and Josh Bennett.
Incoming board members
are Arnold Harner, Frank
Middleton, Cliff Bennett
and Gene Vickers. We
look forward to the new
member’s insight and
leadership.
GAFSED had another very
busy year training service
technicians and AHJ’s. A
special thanks to: Craig

―Wow this class has paid
for my registration & GAF-
SED dues10 times over.
Who better To learn from
than the inspectors them-
selves? Great class.‖
GAFSED was proud to have

daily.
