In 2006, St. Peter's established a parish cemetery. The burialground was created to provide a Catholic cemetery forparishioners and Diocesan Catholics and to foster a greater senseof community within our parish. To that end it has been asuccessful endeavor. Few churches in the Arlington Diocese arefortunate to have a cemetery located adjacent to its church. The cemetery was designed in two sections. Section I encompassesthe current board fenced area and contains 320 marked grave sites. This section will be soon be expanded to include a total of 400plots. Section II is the wire fenced field located north of thecemetery and will hold 936 sites when expansion becomesnecessaryTo date, 200 burial plots have been sold with 48 souls buried in theconsecrated grounds. The cost of a burial plot is $750 forparishioners and $1,500 for members of the Arlington Diocese.Parishioners interested in purchasing sites should contact cemeteryadministrator Mary Ann Krammes at (540) 547-4441.
