NATURAL GASSupplied to millions of businessesthroughout the U.S. upon demand;one of the most efficient, cost-effec-tive, environmental friendly anddomestically- abundant fuels available.
Natural gas as a viable alternativevehicular fuel is completely compatiblewith today’s engines. Manufacturersare now producing a variety of factory-equipped, on-road and in-plant vehi-cles to run cleanly and efficiently onnatural gas. In addition, some existingvehicles can also be converted to oper-ate on either natural gas or gasoline(bi-fuel), without compromising per-formance, at the flip of a switch.Power delivery between the two fuelsis virtually indistinguishable.
The actual costs of refueling with nat-ural gas over other fuels can also be apleasant surprise. The price of naturalgas is usually between one-half andthree-quarters the cost of its gasolineequivalent. This can result in substan-tial savings for commercial vehicles ofhigh-mileage commuters. It shouldalso be noted that natural gas priceshave a history of being relatively sta-ble, not fluctuating with daily supplyand demand like gasoline. Whethervehicles are equipped for natural-gas-
only or bi-fuel operation, both timeand money can be saved through theuse of the convenient, safe and acces-sible Natural Gas.
Natural Gas is nature’s cleanest burn-ing fossil fuel. When used to power avehicle engine, it emits fewer pollu-tants than conventional or other alter-native fuels and meets governmentclean air requirements. Compared togasoline or diesel, natural gas burnsmore completely and cleanly, whichresults in significant reductions in pol-lution-causing exhaust componentssuch as carbon monoxide, nitrogenoxides and reactive hydrocarbons.Soot, smoke particles and irritatingodors are virtually eliminated, makingnatural gas an ideal choice for fleets.Using clean burning natural gasreduces our dependence on foreignoil.

DRYINGTo ensure pure gas, free of moisture,BAUER offers complete solutions fornatural gas drying. A typical configura-tion consists of a low pressure gas inletdrying system which strips the incom-ing gas of moisture before compres-sion. BAUER also offers high pressuredryers which perform the same func-tion after compression.

STORAGE FOR FAST FILLBAUER offers a variety of storage con-figurations depending on your fillrequirements. A typical fast fill systemconsists of an array of ASME high pres-sure vessels (tube or cylindrical)arranged in a low, mid and high bankconfiguration. The charging and dis-charging of the banks is controlledthrough the priority and sequencingcontrols.
PRIORITY AND SEQUENCINGCONTROLSBAUER Priority Controls determine thefilling sequence of each storage bankby the compressor based on the actualreal-time pressure (gas fill level) in eachbank. The Priority Control algorithm isembedded in the PLC of the compres-sion system.
Sequencing Controls determine thedischarging sequence of the system’slow, mid and high storage banks basedon the real-time demand from thevehicles. The Sequencing Controlsoptimize vehicle fill time based on theactual pressure (fill level) of the vehiclestorage vessels and available pressure(fill level) in each storage bank. TheSequencing algorithm is typicallyembedded in the gas dispensing sys-tem.
DISPENSERS AND FILL POSTSBAUER offers a complete line of lead-ing brand CNG filling systems. Fromsimple filling posts for private fleets, tosophisticated dispensers with creditcard access for public access stations,we can accommodate any customerneed.
