    (b) Each valve to be dismantled completely.

    (c) Metallic components of valves to chemically and manually cleaned for removing rustparticles.

    (d) If material condition of the valve as ascertained after opening it, warrants renewal ofmetallic components like valve lid, valve seat, spindle etc then the same to be renewed. Thematerial used must conform to the original material of the components.

    (e) The Rubber liner is to be renewed in all rubberised valves. Material of Rubber -Neoprene. Renewal of other non metallic components made of materials like Teflon ring,Nitrile rubber seals and Asbestos packing as per original material.

    (f) Gear Box of the valves to be opened, eased parts renewed and boxed up. Functionalityof the Gear Box to be proved after fitment on board.

    (g) Machining, Grinding and lapping of metallic components like valve lid, spindle.

    (g) Boxing up of valve.

    (h) Pressure testing of valve at 1.5 times working pressure.(j) Fitment of valve onboard after completion of work including renewal of pipe flange joints.

    (k) Proving of valve in the System onboard.

    4. The system(s) where the valve(s) is/are repaired/ overhauled will be tested for satisfactoryperformance by ship staff.
