    SYNOPSIS

    Title of the Project: Convenience Solutions for Time Poor Customers- A Comparative Study

    between Twenty Four Seven Convenience Store and In And Out Convenience Store

    Profile of the Convenience Store Industry: Convenience Store Industry has seen a huge

    transformation over the past few years. Growing popularity of modern retail formats, changing

    preferences of people, desire for one stop shopping, increase in the per capita income of people

    and a youth-heavy customer base of India have propelled the growth of the convenience store

    market in India, resulting in increased demand for convenience solutions for shopping.

    Twenty Four Seven Convenience Stores are one of Indias premiere and New Delhis only

    organized retail chain in the round-the-clock convenience store format owned by K.K Modi

    Group. The store chain offers its customers an international shopping experience; offering

    variety of products and services. These stores provide a means to the young working populous

    with new and more comfortable options that meet their requirement and also those of the modern

    Indian culture.

    In & Out Convenience StoreWith the emergence of organized retailing in the country and a

    growing demand from consumers for a superior shopping experience, Bharat Petroleum has

    launched its convenience retailing initiative under the "In &Out Convenience Store" brand.

    Bharat Petroleum is the 2nd largest oil marketing company in the country with over 7000 retail

    outlets spread across the length and breadth of the country. The In & Out chain of convenience

    stores is being set up in the urban markets at strategically located retail outlet sites with high

    customer footfalls.

    Objectives of the Study: The objectives of the research are:

    1. To study the convenience solutions for the time poor customers provided by Twenty Four SevenConvenience Store and In & Out convenience Store.

    2. To make comparative study between Twenty Four Seven Convenience Store and In & Outconvenience Store on the basis of convenience solutions for their time poor customers.

    3. To study the profile of Twenty Four Seven Convenience Store and In & Out convenience Store.Scope of the Study: The functional area of study is marketing.

    1. To analyze the profile of the Twenty Four Seven Convenience Store and In & Out convenienceStore and convenience solutions provided by them for time poor customers for this purpose

    secondary data from the published source is used.

    2. To carry out market survey for convenience solutions provided to time poor customers for thispurpose the geographical area selected is Delhi and NCT. Data is collected through a

    questionnaire.

    Methodology:

    Type of Research: The research conducted is analytic in nature aimed at finding out the

    convenience solutions provided by Twenty Four Seven Convenience Store and In & Out

    convenience Store for time poor customers.

    Universe of the Research: Convenience Stores Industry.

    Sampling Unit: Customers of Twenty Four Seven Convenience Store and In & Out convenience

    Store.

    Area of Enquiry: Delhi and NCT

    Sampling Technique: The researcher has used Simple Random Sampling technique for data

    collection by randomly approaching the Customers who have just shopped from Twenty Four

    Seven Convenience Store and In & Out convenience Store as they are able to generate more

    accurate response.

    Sample size: 100 Respondents from Delhi and NCT

    Data Collection Method: The researcher has used survey method for data collection. The

    primary data was collected using questionnaire and the source of secondary data used are

    Journals, Research Papers, Books, companys website and databases like EBSCO and DELNET.

    Technique used for Data Analysis: Z test is used to test the null hypotheses in order to estimate

    the Convenience Solutions for Time Poor Customers- A Comparative Study between Twenty

    Four Seven Convenience Store and In And Out Convenience Store for the purpose of analysis

    of the collected data.

    Tools: For Data Collection: Questionnaire

    For Data Analysis:Tools used for data analysis is SPSS and MS Excel.
