Abstract
Driving without license is a major issue in many countries. Survey says that the accidents happened mostly by unlicensed drivers.
To prevent unlicensed driving new system is proposed
i.e., FINGER PRINT IDENTIFICATION.
Finger prints are taken while distributing the driving license to the eligible drivers and saved in data base and this information is used to identify whether the user have license or not
IntroductionIntroduction
An important human identification method is fingerprint identification
No two persons can have same arrangement of ridge patterns and pattern of any individual remains unchanged throughout his life
Finger print scanner can be interfaced with a micro controller &through keypad we can add new users and remove existing user
Our project can also used for security of vehicle by ignition control i.e., engine will start only if driver is authorized else engine will not work
Block diagram

Description
Fingerprints can be recorded digitally on a standard fingerprint card and transmitted electronically to the database for comparison
By comparing the fingerprints with prerecorded fingerprints can establish the absolute proof for identifying a person
Fingerprint scanner is used to scan the finger image of user that is compared in microcontroller and if the comparison with pre-recorded fingerprints is same then the person will be allowed to ignite the car else the car will not work
Existing work and proposed workExisting work :
Every user should carry the driving license along with them
It is possible that drivers who have not undergone
appropriate training and testing may be deficient in some
aspect of knowledge & skills required to drive safely &
efficiently.
To avoid this we proposed a new system.
Proposed work :
No need to carry driving license always with them
The user can drive the car only if he is authorized person
Research methodologies
Hardware Used:
•Microcontroller: ARM-7 (LPC 2148)
•Finger print scanner
•Keypad
•Single relay
Software Used:
•Keil IDE
•Embedded C
Applications
Automobiles
Office and industries for login purpose
Traffic Police
It can be used for security purpose of vehicles.
It can be used to prevent the accidents by providing licensed drivers
By using this system no one can drive without license
Advantages
The security features were enhanced largely for the
stability and reliability of owner recognition.
The whole system was build on the technology of
embedded system which makes the system more safe,
reliable and easy to use.Easy access
Real time value monitoring
Quick response
DisadvantagesDisadvantagesComplex programming
Costly Device
