SYNOPSIS

PRESENT SITUATION:-

Presently in most of the education centre maintain their

student recordOn the files i.e. the entries are done in the

files and all the records are maintained and update in the

files only.

Thougth some of the reputed institution maintains thestudent records on the computers but most of our

institution are not involved in it.

PROBLOM STATEMENT:-

The manual handling of various onformation about

student lead to difficulties in maintaining the voluminous

and its slow retrival. It is combersome to refer to files or

manuals every time some information regarding a

perticuler student or version of a perticuler student.

Moreover ,the addition of new records makes the job all

the more tedious. To make details avaliable to large

number of customer, at the same time.

CONSTRAINTS:-

The traditional file system managed in the library has

some limitation that can be overcome by our

software.The various constraints can be

1.Student record can be misplaced.

2.If the record regarding to any perticuler student is

damaged.

3.human error such as entries .

4.time consuming.

5.wastage of paper.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF GOAL:-

To develop a software that enables an efficient

management of library by taking certain set of inputs and

hence the various problems which are coming across

traditional file management system.

INTRODUCTION:-

The main objective of this document is to illustrate the

requirement of the project student record system.This

system can manage records related to students. We can

simply create database of student records and whenever

needed by user then it can be easily retrived.

PRODUCT FEATURES:-

*User friendly.

*The information related to students is easily inserted.

*User can choose menu accoding to his need and then

related inforamtion related to student will display.

* Quick to learn and ensures reliability.

*New records can be added easily.

USER CHARACTERISTIC:-

Any user with the basic knowledge of computer can easily

handle this software .the must be aware with the english

language so as to understand the prompts and message

of the system.He should be familier with the C language

also.

CONSTRAINTS:-

Our software is related to education institute but we can

only use it for records of students.We cant use is forlibrary management.

For use this software it is necessary that TC compiler is

installed in the system.

BEHAVIOURAL REQUIREMENT:-

The proposed system that we are going to develop will

be used as the chief perfomance system within the

different institutes.Therefore it is expected that software

would perform functionally for getting information related

to students.The product will be operating in windows

environment.

EXTERNAL INTERFACE:-

*OPERATING SYSTEM-Windows 98/Xp.

*PROCESSR-Pentium 3.0 GHz or higher.

*RAM-512 Mb or more.

*HARD DISK- 10 Gb or more.

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENT :-

*Win 98/ Xp operating system.

*Turbo c++ compiler.
