INDUSTRIES VS TOURISM Dadra and Nagar Haveli known for its tax benefit and cheap electricity, resulted in hundreds of industries set up over the territory. With the end of the tax benefit thankfully no new industries, so govt realised the territory has about 50 % of forest cover and a dam reservoir which can be used to make a potential tourism hub. So the govt proposed tourist facilities all over the territory demarcating different zones. A hospitality sector is considered a cleaner industry than a manufacturing unit.
Search is to find out to what extent a resort built in an eco-sensitive site can be merged with the surrounding so that it does minimum damage to the ecology ( Environment + Tribal’s) and generate lively hood for the tribal’s from the tourist coming to the area.
