iMovR Helps Combat Meeting Fatigue with New Synapse Line of

Adjustable-Height Scrum and Conference Tables

October 16, 2014 - Bellevue, WA – iMovR, a leading manufacturer of ergonomic adjustable-height desks,

is expanding their product offerings with the launch of their new Synapse line of adjustable-height

conference tables.

More workers are adopting standing and walking desks to improve their productivity and fitness at the

office. But conference room meetings still take up a large portion of an employee's time. iMovR's

Synapse tables empower businesses to support their work force's wellness by letting meeting

participants easily alternate between sitting and standing. In addition to improving health, standing

meetings have been shown to increase a meeting's productivity while shortening the time it takes.

iMovr's new Synapse tables come in a basic scrum version and a full-featured conference version. The

Synapse Scrum Table is designed to complement the daily "scrum" meetings a growing number of

companies are implementing. These meetings are designed to allow teammates working on a project to

meet and collaborate with one another in a highly productive and highly adaptive process. They last, by

definition, no more than 15 minutes and are held standing to enforce this brevity. Andy Rosenbaum,

iMovR’s CTO, conceived of the Scrum Table based on his own experience managing software

development teams at companies like Amazon, Yahoo and Inktomi. “We wanted to create an affordable,

no-frills table that gives project teams a surface for taking notes - whether on paper, mobile devices or

laptop - can be a real challenge when people are just standing in a circle.”

The fully-featured Synapse Conference Table includes dual recessed electrical modules that each

provide two AC power sockets and two USB ports, plus two knockouts for installing RJ45 Ethernet

sockets. This bounty of connection capability means that, no matter what kind of meeting or

presentation is being conducted, the Synapse Conference Table can conveniently power everyone’s

devices without having a tangle of cords tripping people up and knocking over coffee mugs.

The Synapse tables use the same heavy-duty electric base as the company's ThermoDesk Electra 3D-

adjustable desk. This allows the tables to lift up to 495 pounds while at a hushed sound level lower than

ambient office noise.

The boat-shaped tabletops come in a choice of five solid and six wood grain finishes, with over fifty

custom colors available to match any office’s décor. Synapse tops are made using iMovR's exclusive 3D-

lamination process, resulting in tops that are beautifully ergo-contoured yet ultra-durable and

impervious to harsh cleaning chemicals. Both tables are available in lengths of six, seven, or eight feet,

at varying widths.
