REG. X.08: Students failing in the examinations (internal component or university examination) may appear in remedial University Examinations as arranged by the University. REG. X.09: The performance of a student during a semester is indicated in the grade card by a Semester Performance Index or SPI, which is calculated as follows: SPI=Total of marks of all subjects / Number of subjects The cumulative performance of the student is indicated by a Cumulative Performance Index (CPI), in calculating the CPI, the credit of SPI is considered by the as given in REG. X.11. However, any fail marks which the student might have earned but has subsequently passed will be replaced by the passing marks in that subject. The SPI of the corresponding semester will, however, continue to reflect such failures and will not be recalculated. REG. X.10: A student, who has passed all examinations of three-year degree programme, that is, examinations of the Semester-I to Semester-VI shall be eligible to receive degree of B. Sc. (CA & IT) programme. A student, who has passed all examinations of two-year post graduate degree programme, that is, examinations of the Semester-VII to Semester-X shall be eligible to receive degree of M. Sc. (CA & IT) programme. REG. X.11: For the purpose of aggregate for the class in B.Sc. (CA &IT), percentage of marks obtained at the B.Sc. (CA &IT) Sem-I Examination, B.Sc. (CA &IT) Sem-II, B.Sc. (CA &IT) Sem-III Examination, B.Sc. (CA &IT) Sem-IV Examination, B.Sc. (CA &IT) Sem-V, and B.Sc. (CA &IT) Sem-VI Examination shall be added by the formula CPI= SUM OF Ci x SPIi Where the Ci indicates the Credit factor for the semester and SPIi indicates the Semester Performance Index. The Credit factors for each semester of B. Sc. (CA&IT) is as shown below Semester I Credit 0.125 Factor II 0.125 III 0.125 IV 0.125 V 0.250 VI 0.250

E.g.: - If student has obtained following SPI in his respective semesters as shown in the table. Semester I SPI 4.6 II 5.2 III 5.5 IV 6.0 V 7.0 VI 7.5

The Final CPI will be Final CPI=4.6x0.125+5.2x0.125 + 5.5x0.125 + 6.0x0.125 +7.0x0.25+7.5x0.25 So final CPI of the student will be 6.288GANPAT UNIVERSITY, GANPAT VIDYANAGAR, KHERVA (N.G.) page no: 5
