has been designed to evaluate child's all round development and

day to day performance in the class. Our aim is teaching by doing.

Syllabus of Class II Session (2018-19)

Love, understanding, support and encouragement make education interesting and adventurous for children. The joyous journey not only

develops their intellectual capabilities but will also help them to become successful human beings.

Every Friday will be an Activity Day in order to help the children develop their self confidence. It will be compulsory for every student

to speak on the mike. Parents are required to help the child to prepare the given topics for the mike activity to be conducted through out the

year.

Activities and the celebrations for the session-2018-2019 are mentioned along with the syllabus.

ACTIVITIES (2018-19)

1. Children will be assessed on the basis of written as well as oral

tests.

2. If the child is absent in any test (written as well as oral), he/she will

be given average marks on the basis of verified medical certificate.

3. Written tests will be shown to the parents only on Parent Teacher

Meet.

4. Only grades will be awarded.

5. Weekly Test (only one subject) will be taken on every Monday for

internal assessment.

5. The annual assessment will be based on 4 periodic tests

STORIES FOR UNIT-III

I. THE FOX AND THE CROW

Once a fox was very hungry. He looked for food. He

reached a garden. There he saw a crow on a tree. He had a piece

of cheese. The fox said., "Brother Crow! you have a sweet voice".

Please sing me a song. The crow felt happy. He opened his beak

to sing. The piece of cheese fell down. The fox ate it up.

Moral : Beware of flatterers.

II. THE HARE AND THE TORTOISE

A hare and a tortoise lived in a forest. The hare was

proud of his speed. One day they decided to run a race . The race

started. The hare ran very fast. He looked behind and did not

find the tortoise anywhere. He stopped for rest and was soon fast

asleep. The tortoise went on and on. He did not stop for rest. The

hare woke up in the evening. He ran fast. But the tortoise had

already reached the goal.

Moral : Slow and Steady wins the race.

STORIES FOR UNIT-IV

I. THE WOODCUTTER AND THE FAIRY

One day a woodcutter's axe fell into a river. The river was very

deep. The woodcutter tried hard but could not find his axe. He became

sad. A fairy saw the sad woodcutter and took pity on him. The fairy said

, Don't worry. I will bring your axe. She dived into the river and returned

with an axe of gold. The woodcutter said, "That is not mine." Once

again the fairy went down into the river and returned with a silver axe.

The woodcutter said, "That is not mine." The fairy dived into the river

third time. She came back with an iron axe. The woodcutter cried joyfully.

That's mine. The fairy was pleased with woodcutter's honesty. She gave

him gold and the silver axe as a reward.

Moral : Honesty is a best policy.

II. THE FARMER AND HIS SONS

A farmer had four sons. They were strong and hardworking

But they always quarelled with each other. The farmer always thought

what to do to keep them united. One day he called all his sons together.

He showed them a bundle of sticks and said, break these sticks without

seperating them from the bundle. They tried one by one. But none of

them could break the sticks. The old farmer seperated the sticks.

Now he gave just a single stick to break. They could break the sticks

easily. The farmer taught them, "You will be strong if you are united.

But you will be weak if you are divided. The sons promised to be

united.

Moral : Unity is Strength.

Healthy Food Healthy Body Healthy Mind

Dear Parents

Children are very precious to us. So kindly let us all be very careful about their health and eating habits.

So the following MENU has been decided for keeping the kids in good shape :

Monday Plain or stuffed Parantha with Pulses/cereals and one seasonal fruit.

Tuesday Chapati with seasonal Green vegetable with less oil.

Wednesday Parantha with Potato Vegetable

Thursday Stuffed Parantha (Methi/Paneer/Aloo/Onion etc.)

Friday Idli, Poha, Besan ka Puda/Dosa or Puri Bhaji (Aloo, Chane)

Saturday Any Bread Item (Sandwich/Bread Jam/French Toast/ Bread Butter and biscuits/cookies.

Note : Kindly be strict to the menu given to the child. If possible encourage to eat sprouted (whole) pulse in

any form of salad, subzi etc
