Diverse Course Work
I am currently 20 and in my senior year of the New Media program at Middle Tennessee State University. I am excessively organized and driven, which is demonstrated by my average semester course load of 18-21 credit hours, a part-time job throughout college, and an intensive semester abroad program in Russia. I have a lot of passion for both the creative and strategic sides of the branding industry and am interested in learning it from both angles.
At Middle Tennessee I have been pursuing a B.S in New Media. The program has allowed me to study various media for digital mass communication. Early on I realized that I was interested in learning about all the career possibilities in advertising, PR, and marketing. Therefore, I enrolled in a variety of different courses outside of my program; I have ex-perienced everything from graphic and publication design, web video production, media planning, PR writing, and even B2B selling.
-Intern at FLO-This is an overview of my internship at FLO {thinkery}
I just began my internship with FLO in January, and everyday has pro-vided me with an incredible learning experience. They are a unique com-pany that allots their interns plenty of placement f lexibility within their many start-up ventures. It is because of this that I ended up finding my happy place alongside the business development team.
Ever since my B2B Selling course, I knew I had a knack for the work business development required. Working alongside Made In Network’s CEO and it’s management team has solidified my interest in a position in that allows me to help grow and man-

-Campaigns Course-This is an overview of my work in my Advertising Campaigns Course
-The Course-In MTSU’s Advertising “Campaigns” course students are involved in planning, designing, and executing all phases of a complete advertising campaign. The client for the spring 2015 semester is VSA Tennessee, and the class is responsible for promoting their “40 Days Around the World” project. I was fortunate enough to be selected as the account executive for the spring term, and have the opportunity to lead the team throughout the campaign.
-The Client-VSA, the international organization on arts and disabil-ity, was founded more than 35 years ago by Ambassa-dor Jean Kennedy Smith to provide arts and education opportunities for people with disabilities and increase access to the arts for all. With 52 international affiliates and a network of nationwide affiliates, VSA is providing arts and education programming for youth and adults with disabilities around the world.
-The Campaign-A year ago during a VSA affiliates conference, it was brought up that the individual chapters, domestic and abroad, have never worked on a project together. It was then decided that in honor of VSA’s 40th anniversary and the American Disabilities Act’s 25th anniversary in 2015, would be celebrated by the first international VSA project. VSA’s “40 Days Around the World” campaign will take place between June 16th and July 24th. The concept of the project is to pair a domestic and abroad affiliate together to create pieces of art either similar by medium, theme, or disability. On everyday one of the 40 projects will be showcased on the campaign’s web-site. After the campaign, that website and its projects will be converted into a permanent resource for VSA and its educators.
-What I Do-Every semester before the course starts, students can apply to be the Account Manager. My class had the largest percentage of students to ever apply for the position. This year, because of the project’s size, two students were picked to Co- Manage the entire team. I was lucky enough to be chosen for one of these positions.
I co-orchestrate a team of 10 very talented students for VSA and their “40 Days Around the World Cam-paign”. My Co-AE and I also have to coordinate and communicate with the campaign’s multiple partners.
I am the Executive Director of Creative & Digital and run a more specialized 5 person team dedicat-ed to that side of the campaign. We are in charge of branding the “40 Days” campaign, and develop-ing its digital strategy. Above is the concept logo I created for the campaign.
I will also be leading a 3 person group who will enter a digital campaign plan onto the Google On-line Marketing Challenge.
I pitched the partnership between VSA and Jeremy Scott’s novel “The Ables”, and will be the exclu-sive relations person between the book’s team, the VSA Director, and my campaigns team.

The Yoga Nest is located in Murfreesboro TN, and after taking classes from the owner, Amy, I decided to try and be her first ever intern. Being a marketing intern for a small business gave me the opportunity to have a lot of freedom and trust in my creative choices. I really believe in her brand and the fact that her studio is trying to put spitrituality and traditional techniques back into yoga classes.
While interning at The Yoga Nest I was responsible for:
-Created weekly e-newsletters-Created social media content-Assisted in marketing efforts for work shops, events, and classes-Designed studio branded apparel
-Publication Design-This is my mock design for the National Audubon Society’s 6 page newsletter
