LIMITATIONS OF SWOT
14 March 2012
SWOT Analysis is not free from its limitations.
1. Does not tell how an organization can identifythe four aspects for itself.
2. May cause organizations to oversimplifycircumstances and overlook key strategicoccurrences.
3. Moreover, categorizing aspects as strengths,
weaknesses, opportunities and threats mightbe very subjective as there is great degree ofuncertainty in market.

Conclusion:
It helps the firm to access its position in themarket place and the strategies that it needsto adapt to put it where its mission and vision
are focusing on.
However, the SWOT framework does not allow
Managers to identify external aspects outsidetheir control nor internal factors which aremasked by other events.
