Swords of Defense Presentation to GC Dave Stanger

Rex Lodge 551 bestowed Grand Chancellor (GC) David Stanger (center in photobelow) with the “Shield” at its 21st Annual Swords of Defense Grand Chancellor honornight, Tuesday, May 7.

Like the 20 Grand Chancellors preceding him, GC David Stanger received anhistorical Pythian Sword from Rex Lodge 551. PDSC David Peltzer (Yorktown Lodge859; to right of GC in photo below) officiated over the presentation ritual he devised.

Over 100 people witnessed the presentation which remains one of the mostpopular of all the GC gift presentations. A dinner courtesy of Rex Lodge preceded theceremony which took place at Ancient Order of Hibernians Hall in Brooklyn.
