AN AIR OPERATED SOLENOID VALVE is an electronic control used to operate (engage & disengage) the air actuated engine fan clutch and/or radiator shutters on the vehicle. It can be plumbed to operate in either a normally open (N.O.) or normally closed (N.C.) position, depending upon the type of fan on the vehicle, and the specific inlet port used on the solenoid.

AN AIR OPERATED SOLENOID VALVE is an electronic control used to operate (engage & disengage) the air actuated engine fan clutch and/or radiator shutters on the vehicle. It can be plumbed to operate in either a normally open (N.O.) or normally closed (N.C.) position, depending upon the type of fan on the vehicle, and the specific inlet port used on the solenoid. See illustrations below to determine the correct inlet port.
