SWITCH-Asia Policy Support Overall objective: To strengthen national and regional policy frameworks to promote the shift towards more SCP patterns and resource efficiency, thereby contributing to green growth and reduction of poverty in Asian countries. 2 specific and interlinked objectives:

• Create an enabling environment to strengthen or initiate policies • Develop institutional knowledge, skills, and capacities among stakeholders in the countries

Train the Trainers, Decision makers & future decision makers - Tailor-made national seminars (Pakistan, Bhutan, Viet Nam, Lao PDR) - Subregional – Annual ASEAN Forum on SCP + Workplan, South Asia too - SCP Winter Schools (Asia-wide with AIT and South Asia/India with TERI U) - SCP online training with UNITAR (2014, 2015)

Develop targeted awareness-raising material - SCP training material and publications - SCP infographics and maps

SWITCH-Asia RPSC Indicators

Resource efficiency indicators are a tool that aid policy makers in making informed decisions to support sustainable consumption and production (SCP) and the creation of a Green Economy (GE). A comprehensive database featuring 26 countries in the Asia-Pacific region and 40 years of resource use is now available publicly at:http://uneplive.unep.org
