SwipeClock Setup Overview
Company Setup
Enable SwipeClock under Sys Admin System Configuration Time & Attendance
SwipeClock:
Enter the Company User ID, Password, Site # (Accountant ID) and Accountant Level API Secret
where directed:

The Accountant Level API Secret is located in SwipeClock under Accountant Menu

Client Setup
Enable SwipeClock for the Client under Client Info Client Maintenance SwipeClock tab:
Enter the Client User ID, Password, Site # and Client Level API Secret where directed:

The Client Level API Secret is located in SwipeClock under Client Name Settings Menu
Client Level API Secret Management SwipeClock API Secret:
The ESS (Employee Single Sign-On) functionality allows the Employee to access their personal
SwipeClock dashboard directly from their Web Portal dashboard. This functionality can be
enabled by selecting ‘Show’ from the ESS dropdown selection:

When ‘PORTAL’ is selected, the Employee will be taken to their personal SwipeClock
dashboard:

Employee Setup
The Employee Timeclock information can be entered under Employee Records Employee
Maintenance Client Assignment Timeclock Options:

Employee information is pushed from Extreme to SwipeClock by selecting the ‘Upload All
Employees’ functionality located under Client Info Client Maintenance SwipeClock.
Depending on the number of Employees being uploaded, this process may take a few minutes
to complete itself.
Updates made to existing Employee records or New Employees added through Extreme will not
automatically push through to SwipeClock; the ‘Upload All Employees’ functionality will always
need to be selected first.

Payroll Submission (OPTION ONE)
Pay Period must be finalized in SwipeClock for the Extreme SwipeClock Import functionality to
recognize outstanding SwipeClock timecards.
The Pay Period is finalized in SwipeClock under Maintenance Menu Finalize Pay Period
Finalize Pay Periods tab. To finalize, flag the Pay Period(s) you’re wanting to finalize and select
the ‘Finalize’ option:

Once finalized, the SwipeClock timecard can be directly imported through Extreme using the
SwipeClock Import functionality available under Payroll SwipeClock Import.

Timecards for finalized Pay Periods can also be downloaded from SwipeClock under
SwipeClock Reports Menu Download Activity Files:
It is important to note that at least one Pay Period must be selected and ‘SUM2’ always be used
as the File Format Name in order for the SwipeClock timecard to be compatible with Extreme

404 – File or directory not found ERROR
Employees will receive a ‘404 – File or directory not found.’ error if the Site # (Accountant ID) is
incorrect:
