Day 1 Mon. Oct. 10 We pick up at our departure cities and make our way to Davenport, IA where we will “pop” in at Popcorn Charlie & Company. Their gourmet popcorn is amazing! More flavors than you knew could exist! Tonight we overnight in Merrillville, IN. Day 2 Tues. Oct 11 After breakfast our first stop is at Albanese Candy. For over 30 years Albanese has been making the World’s Best Gummies & Candies. We will enjoy a tour of the factory, sample gummies & candies and shop for special treats at the gift shop. Our next “sweet” stop is at the South Bend Chocolate Factory. We will enjoy a tour of the chocolate factory and museum. At the end of our tour you will enjoy free time to shop in their gift shop for that tasty treat. Tonight we overnight in North Canton, OH. (B) Day 3 Wed. Oct 12 Today our chocolate journey continues with our Fannie Mae Chocolate Tour. The aroma of chocolate will envelope you as soon as you arrive, wetting your appetite for some of the finest chocolates in the world. During our guided tour we will learn about their rich heritage of making chocolates, get an in-depth look at how cocoa beans are transformed into chocolate, as they are blended with real sugar and fresh local cream to make over 500 varieties of chocolates and gourmet candies. Our tour ends in the chocolate shop for fabulous tasting of their famous chocolates. Treat yourself to an assortment of chocolates, fresh dipped chocolate strawberries or a refreshing dish of Gelato. Next stop, Georgie Lou’s Retro Candy Shop which specializes in nostalgic candy. More than 800 different varieties of candy, candy bars and sweets, including decadent truffles and homemade fudge. They also offer a selection of retro- themed gifts for that special souvenir from your sweet & salty adventure. Tonight we arrive in Hershey, PA, our home for the next 2 nights. Day 4 Thurs. Oct 13 Get ready for a fun-filled day of HERSHEY’S Happiness!! We will take a tour of the factory where we will be immersed in the flavorful world of chocolate, Hershey’s tasting experts will show us how to engage all senses to taste choco-lates—from milk to dark and varieties in between. We will enter an actual manufacturing line atmos-phere and choose from a number of inclusion ingredients to add to create your own candy bar, board an old-fashion trolley ride, with singing conductors, pointing out historical and cultural observations along the way. You will also enjoy free time to find that sweet array of treats, classic varieties and special Hershey souvenirs at the gift shop. (B)

Day 5: Fri, Oct 14 We say goodbye to Hershey but our sweet & salty journey isn’t over yet. We travel to Columbus, OH for our unique twist on lunch. Enjoy lunch on your own at Kreme Nut. This isn’t your mom’s PB & J sandwich! From the classic “Old Timer” to the “Nutty Mallow” sandwich, to peanut butter shakes, so many gourmet choices to choose from! We stop at Anthony-Thomas Chocolates for our factory tour. Our tour guides through each process step-by-step from the kitchens to the final packaging. Our tour finishes in their retail shoppe for time to browse and shop. Tonight enjoy free time to explore the city of Columbus or relax at our hotel. (B)

Day 6 Sat. Oct 15 As we make our way towards home, we will stop for lunch on your own at Rock-Cola 50’s café. Enjoy a nostalgic and memorable 50’s dining experience. We will stop at Popcorn Haven, over 250 flavors of gourmet popcorn to choose from. We overnight in Peoria, IL (B)

Day 7 Sun. Oct 16 We continue our journey towards home, bidding farewell to new friends and memories that will last a lifetime. We will enjoy lunch on your own at the Hamburg Inn. (B)
