Sweeping arcs in multi-colored hues encircle the Design Museum of Holon, designed by Professor Ron Arad. From the initial planning, the Museum was envisioned as a hub for architecture, design and industry for Israel and the world. That vision is fast becoming a reality.

Presenting an array of exhibits to evoke a variety of sensory experiences, the Design Museum Holon will educate, enlighten and, most importantly, delight visitors with new interpretations of design.

The Design Museum Holon will host original exhibitions, put together by international curators, which will explore the role of contemporary design in the fields of industrial design, architecture, fashion and visual communications.

The Design Museum Holon is committed to leading the process of positioning the field of design, which serves as an distinctive language and vital component of culture, as a key factor in modern Israeli society. The Museum is also dedicated to spearheading a fruitful collaboration between industry, education and community.

Initiated by the Mayor of the city of Holon, Mr. Motti Sasson, and the municipality’s general manager, Mrs. Hana Herzman, the Design Museum Holon is unique on the Israeli landscape. We believe that it will become one of the world’s leading design and architecture institutes.

The nature of work being done on the Design Museum Holon’s structure is compared to a creation of a large sized jewel, given its exceptional organic structure, as well as the mathematical and physical calculations entailed in its development.

The initial funding for the Design Museum Holon, 17 million dollars, was granted by the Holon municipality. The operating budget for the Museum's initial year is estimated at 2.7 million dollars. We are hoping to raise 1 million dollars of our budget from our friends and supporters around the world.
