"If faith in ourselves had been more extensively taught and practiced, I am sure a very large portion of the evils and miseries that we have would have vanished."

Our duty is to encourage every one in his struggle to live up to his own highest idea, and strive at the same time to make the ideal as near as possible to the Truth.

“ Arise,Awake and do not stop until the goal is reached ” Swami Vivekananda

“Take risks in your life. If you win, you can lead, if you lose, you can guide.” Swami Vivekananda

“All differences in this world are of degree, and not of kind, because oneness is the secret of everything”

Learn everything that is good from others but bring it in, and in your own way absorb it; do not become others.

"Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man"

The youth of India have great creative energy with the positive potential to take them to spiritual heights. If human creativity is a special quality, then the “Never say die!” spirit is its apex. Demographically, today’s India is at its youngest best and has the power to meet any challenge with the collective consciousness and effort of all people, especially young people.

Swami Vivekananda's teachings not only motivated the youth but also the whole world. He laid the true foundations of India's unity as a nation. He taught how to live together with so much of diversities. He was successful in constructing a virtual bridge between the culture of East and the West. He played a key role in isolating India's culture from rest of the World.

“If the mind is intensely eager, everything can be accomplished mountains can be crumbled into atoms”

“Learn everything that is good from others but bring it in, and in your own way absorb it; do not become others.” Swami Vivekananda

“You cannot believe in God until you believe in yourself”

Vivekananda propagated that the essence of Hinduism was best expressed in Adi Shankara's Advaita Vedanta philosophy. Vivekananda believed that the Absolute is both immanent and transcendent. Each soul is potentially divine. The goal is to manifest this Divinity within by controlling nature, external and internal. Do this either by work, or worship, or mental discipline, or philosophy—by one, or more, or all of these—and be free. This is the whole of religion. Doctrines, or dogmas, or rituals, or books, or temples, or forms, are but secondary details.

Nationalism was a prominent theme in Vivekananda's thought. He believed that a country's future depends on its people, and his teachings focused on human development. He emphasised that success was an outcome of focused thought andaction; in his lectures on Raja Yoga he said, "Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life – think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and justleave every other idea alone. This is the way to success, that is the way great spiritual giants are produced".

“When an idea exclusively occupies the mind, it is transformed into an actual physical or mental state”

“Be an atheist if you want, but do not believe in anything unquestioningly.”- Swami Vivekananda

“A man is not poor without a rupee but a man is really poor without a dream and ambition.” Swami Vivekananda
