Program – 1 Orientation Program

Orientation program was held by our college on 20th June-2014. In this

program, information related to N.S.S. activities was given by Prof. Pushpa

Dixit, Principal Dr. Hetal Mehta and founder trustee of our college, shree

Sureshbhai Savani. He motivated students for their valuable participation.

Program – 2 Elocution Competitions

On 26th July, on the occasion of Guru Purnima, an Elocution competition was

held in the college. In this program Dr. Sumanben Vaishnav,co-ordinator of

M.S.W. was invited as judge of this activity and she gave her valuable

comments to the participants. Winners of this competition were mentioned

Program -3 Personality Development

Under the regular activity of N.S.S. a personality development workshop was

organized for volunteers. In this program volunteers participated

enthusiastically. Prof. Pushpa Dixit gave her motivational speech to the students

for their bright future and bright carrier building.

Tree Plantation Camp

This camp was organized on 22nd December- 2014 by Swami Sahajanad college

of Commerce and Management under NSS unit. In this program students sow

trees and officers made this program successful by their valuable presence.

Program – 4 Blood Donation Camp

Blood donation camp was organized on 23rd December-2014 on Monday by the

students of NSS. In this program students from all U.G departments participated

enthusiastically and camp was made really successful by participation of the

students.

Program – 5 Thalassemia Test Camp

The first round of Thalassemia Test camp was held from 24th November to 26th

November. It was compulsory for all the students of the first year from U.G.

program. Those students who were not present in first round were instructed to

remain present for the second round.

Program – 6 Computer Literacy Camp

Under the regular activities of N.S.S. a literacy camp for the knowledge about

the computer and general knowledge competition was organized on 25th

December-2014 on Thursday. Volunteers from Computer Science college

remained present. Twenty Five students participated enthusiastically and it was

noted that the importance of computer literacy is considered and understood by

participants.

In this competition 4 students were selected at university level programme.

Officers made best efforts to make programme successful.

Program – 7 Visit at Victoria Park

On 26th December-2014 on Friday morning students visited Victoria Park from

9:00 to 1:00. They became acquainted with some useful information about

different types of plantation and flower plants.

Program -8 Quiz Competition

Under the regular activities of N.S.S. a quiz competition was organized for

volunteers on 9th December. In this quiz, various questions were asked to the

volunteers. Pro. Bhavanaben Patel and Pro. Preyaben Sheth played a major role

as a judge of this activity. Winners of this activity were mentioned below.

Program -9 Cleanliness activity

Under the regular activities of N.S.S. a cleanliness activity was organized for

volunteers on 10th January-2015. In this activity volunteers cleaned the ground

of college so generously. After that volunteers took tea and breakfast. Physical

Instructor, kalpanaben Trivedi and khayatiben Mehta made best efforts to make

programme successful.

Program -10 Poster Making

Under the regular activities of N.S.S., on 31st January- 2015, a Poster Making

activity was organized for volunteers on the occasion of Gandhi Nirvan Din. In

this activity, famous drawing artist smt. Chitraben Parmar and shree Anjleeben

Mehta came and motivated students. Volunteers made posters on Gandhiji and

his principles.

Blood Donation Camp

International Youth Day

The United Nations' (UN) International Youth Day is celebrated on August 12

each year to recognize efforts of the world's youth in enhancing global society.

The red ribbon club arranged international youth day dated on 12/08/2015 in

which NSS co-ordinater and and program officers Ms. Puspaben Dixit Ms.

Pooja Kava and Ms. Bhumika Makwana tried to make program successful.

Independence Day Celebration

Date 15/08/2015 Swami Sahajanand College of Commerce and Management,

NSS unit organized the celebration of Independence Day in which Elocution

competition and Patriotic songs competition were arranged for the students. The

Orientation Program

Date 22/08/2015 Saturday orientation program arranged for the NSS students.

Mr. Himal Pandya former NSS co-ordinator discussed with the students on the

topic of dowry system, thalassemia, menstrual problems etc. Ms. Pushpa Dixit

gave presentation on the topic of NSS and also explained the importance of

NSS. 300 students of PG level and 100 students of U.G level were present

during the whole program .The program was handled by Ms. Bhumika

Makwana. The principal of the college and founder trustee of the institution

gave their prestigious time in the program.

Rakhi Exhibition:

Date 24/08/2015 Rakhi Exhibition (stall) was arranged with the help of ankur

special school. Students and staff of Swami Sahajanand College of Commerce

and Management’s main object were to help and encourage the mentally retired

students by purchasing Rakhi from them.

Thalassemia Test

NSS uint arranged thalassemia test on 21and 22 October, 2015 by Bhavnagar

Blood Bank and Red Cross society for the students for the students F.Y

B.COM, B.B.A. B.C.A. and B.SCIT with this, effect of thalassemia and all

detail were explained by video. The program officers Ms. Bhumika Makwana

and Ms. Pushpa Dixit other staff members made their efforts that large number

student get benefited from the Thalassemia.

World AIDS Day Celebration

Date 1/12/2015 arranged a lecture for the creating awareness about the AIDS

among the students in the college. World AIDS Day, celebrated on 1 December

every year is an opportunity for the community to unite in the fight against

HIV/AIDS, to show support for those who have been diagnosed and to

remember those who have been lost to the disease.At the end of the lecture a

questionaire also arranged beside these students should know the detail and true

information about Aids.

National Voting Day Celebration

The significance of National Voters' Day is to encourage more young voters to

take part in the political process. It is a day to celebrate the right to vote and

vibrant democracy of India. Date 25/01/2016 celebrated as voting day with a

view to spread awareness about the voting among the students by taking an oath

for voting.

Oath Ceremony

Swami Sahajanand College of Commerce and Management, NSS unit students,

program officers and guests took oath on 26 September 2016 (Monday) – for

cleanliness and harmony in which Principal of the institution Dr Hetal Mehta,

Lecture

A lecture was arranged on “Harmony” in the college on 28 September 2016

(Wednesday) in which N.S.S. students (volunteers) Assistant Professor of the

institution Ms. Khyati Mehta gave explanation on the subject of “All

communities under one roof”. The Program officers were Ms. Pushpaben Dixit,

Ms.. Pooja Kava and Ms. Bhumi Makwana.

Street Play

As a part of weekly celebration street play was presented on the topic

cleanliness on 29 September 2016 (Thursday) - in which students gave in

depth information on how to keep area clean, how not to waste things and reuse

of various products along with making them aware of not using plastic. Students

had done drama among the viewer of the street staying in the village.

Rally

Department of Science, Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University

organized Rally on 30 September 2016 (Friday) - on the title of Swachh

Bharat from Crescent Circle to Motibaug Town Hall in which all the affiliated

departments and affiliated colleges and self-finance colleges participated with

total 300 students.

Cleanliness Drive:

As the country is aware of that it was the dream of Gandhiji of Clean India, our

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. On the

basis of same, the college and NSS unit organizes most of the event to make

people conscious to keep the country clean.

Hence NSS unit volunteers had cleaned the streets of the village on 1st and 2nd

October 2016 - taking a broom in their hands, collecting plastics and other

waste to make people aware.

Orientation Program

The orientation program was organized on 13 October 2016 - for B.COM.,

B.B.A., B.C.A students of NSS unit. The co- ordinator of NSS unit Dr B. M.

Gohil was guest of honor in which he delivered work schedule that shall be

done throughout the year and provided best wishes. The program officers were

International Lion Day Celebration:

Swami Sahajanand College of Commerce and Management underlying N.S.S

celebrated international lion day on 10th August, 2017, Thursday – and

organized rally with the negotiation of Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar

University. This rally started from Jewels circle to University. The slogan was

2018-19 Annual Report

U.G. Units Activities Report:

National Yoga Day Celebration: 21st June- Day of Yoga

National Yoga day was celebrated by N.S.S Unit of Swami Sahjanand College

of Commerce and Management. Students participated in it very actively.

Around 150 students participated with enthusiasm. These students were from

different programs like B.Com Sem-3 and B.Com Sem. -5.

Every event organized by SSCCM has been well known because of efforts of

faculties and this event was also guided and conducted under the supervision of

Mrs. Kalpanaben Trivedi- Physical Instructor of college, RajvibenKakkar and

Radhikaben Bhatt who work as faculties in B.B.A and M.S.W Program.

Swami Sahjanand College of Commerce and Management. In this event

RajvibenKakkar, Radhikaben Bhatt and Aaratiben Rana guided students and

made vent successful by their positive observation of the students. Whole

program was conducted and monitored by Chief Coordinator, Dr Nennaben

Parekh and it got completed successfully by valuable efforts of students as well

as faculties.

Celebration of Lion Day

Lion day was celebrated on 10th August- by N.S.S Unit of Swami Sahjanand

College of Commerce and Management. In this event Commerce, Management

and Arts students vowed to protect lions and they were motivated by faculties.

On this day students wore masks of lion and they participated enthusiastically in

rally. There was great contribution by faculties and students. Kalpanaben

Trivedi- Physical Instructor and faculties like Juliben Patel, Aaratiben Rana and

Radhikaben Bhatt made their valuable presence to guide students.

12th August- Sunday- International Youth Day-2018

13th August, 2018 was really a memorable day because on this day Blood Bank

of Bhavnagar organized blood Donation camp for children of Thalassemia

disease. Students participated enthusiastically in this camp by donating blood.

Bhavnagar Blood Bank encouraged and acclaimed the institute and its students.

Credit goes to faculties like RajviKakkar, Aaratiben Rana and Kalpanaben

Trivedi.

On 13th August, 2018 a valuable lecture was organized by Red Ribbon Club. In

this program Prof. Himalbhai Pandya from Shantilal Shah Pharmacy College

motivated and inspired students on their social responsibilities. This program

created ray of hope in students’ heart. Faculties like Aaratiben Rana,

Radhikaben Bhatt, Kalpanaben Trivedi conducted this program so well and

performed their participation genuinely. Founder Trustee, Dr Suresh Savani and

Principal Dr Hetal J Mehta made their valuable presence to make students

aware of social conduct too. They congratulated the students for remaining

present over there in this program.

Poster Making Competition:

On 13th August, 2018, a Poster Making competition was organized by institute

and students showed their enthusiasm. Winners of this competition are

Independence Day Celebration-

15th August, 2018-Wednesday

On 15th August, Wednesday, Independence day was celebrated by N.S.S Unit of

Swami Sahjanand College of Commerce and Management. Celebration began

with flag hoisting ceremony by Managing Trustee of the institute,

MrsSaryubenSavani. National Anthem was sung by everyone present there and

thereafter Dr Suresh Savani and Dr Hetal J Mehta addressed the students by

their valuble remarks on Nationalism and devotion over nation. Various

competitions were organized on this day and one of the students from B.A- Sem

1- Gohil Aeshrajsinh very spontaneously expressed his speech on Nationhood.

There were many competitions such as Fancy Dress, Group Dance and singing.

At the end of program, winners were announced.

N.S.S Day Celebration

N.S.S Day was celebratedon 29th August, 2018- by Swami Sahjanand College

of Commerce and Management. Tree plantation activities were also done and

participants spread awareness of cleanliness among other people. Surrounding

places were also cleaned by students on this day.

Teacher’s day Celebration

N.S.S Unit of Swami Sahajanand College of Commerce and Management

organized Teacher’s day on 5th September, 2018. In this program students from

B.Com, BBA and B.C.A Semester 1 participated enthusiastically. They were so

passionate about their teaching on this day. Names of the students from B.A

Sem 1 are mentioned below:

On this teacher’s day, semester 3 students also participated and their names are

Kalpanaben Trivedi, RajviKakkar and Juli Patel conducted whole day

Eco-Friendly Ganesha Making:

Eco-friendly Ganesha Making contest was organized on 15th September, 2018-

by N.S.S Unit of Swami Sahjanand College of Commerce and Management. In

this competition students were supposed to perform solo as well as in group.

First rank was given to Jambucha Dharmesh – B.Com Sem-1

Birth Anniversary of Gandhij:

On 2nd October, 2018, Birth Anniversary of Gandhiji was celebrated at

Shamaldas Arts college by N.S.S unit of University. Whole program was

organized under “Bapu 150” title. Program began at early 7.30 and continued

till 12.00. A Prabhatferi was organized with prayer. Dr BhavnabenAndharia

sang prayer beautifully and made atmosphere so live. University invited almost

all colleges in this program.

After prayer, invited chief guest and Education Minister Shree

BhupendrasinhChudasama gave his valuable remarks on importance of

cleanliness and he invited all students to new museum adjacent to Rajkot. Shree

Bhupendrasinh was warmly welcomed by Vice Chancellor Dr Girishbhai Patel.

Thereafter students were divided according to their college into different areas

for initiating cleanliness campaign. In this program Swami Sahjanand College

of Commerce and Management was provided Gas Station area and students

were monitored and guided by Kalpanaben Trivedi and Radhikaben Bhatt.

8TH January, 2019- Tuseday- Distribution of Tablets

On 8th January, 2019, distribution of Tablets was done successfully to B.Com,

B.C.A and B.B.A students. B.A Sem 2 students were also included in this

program. Whole program was conducted by N.S.S Unit of Swami Sahjanand

College of Commerce and Management.

12th January, 2019, Saturday

On 12th January, 2019- Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekanand , distribution

of books was undertaken and fulfilled by N.S.S Unit of Swami Sahjanand

College of Commerce and Management. MrsKalpanaben Trivedi- Program

Officer of N.S.S Unit took a huge responsibility on her shoulder to conduct this

program.

17/1/2019, Thursday- A Hiking and a long walk from Samadhiyala to

Dihor.

This hiking was undertaken under the leadership by MansukhbhaiMandaviya.

By putting on cloths of Khadi, Mansukhbhai himself and his associates explored

many small villages and places. Almost all the faculties along with many

students in mass participated in this hiking. Title of this hiking was conceived as

“Mai bhi Mohan”. The only aim behind this hiking was spreading values and

principles of Gandhiji to mankind.

25th January, 2019, National Voter Day Celebration

On 25th January, 2019, National Voter Day was celebrated and people were

encouraged to cast their vote. It was basically awareness Program regarding

importance of voting. A rally was organized to fulfill its awareness objective.

In Court Hall of Bhavnagar University this kind of similar program was

organized. In this program , Voter Registration Officer, Respected District

Election Officer-Shree N.D Goyani and Vice Chancellor Dr Girishbhai Patel

made their valuable presence. Many other dignitaries were also present in this

program. Audiences were addressed by some of the dignitaries to spread

awareness regarding giving votes. One of the finest things of this program was

students were also given opportunity to speak their mind about election and its

importance. SSCCM students also expressed their thoughts and perceptions. In

this program Best Campus Ambassador was also announced and appointed. On

this occasion it was proud moment for SSCCM whose student Makwana Gopal

from B.Com Sem 6 was selected. He was acclaimed and honored by audiences

as well as dignitaries.

Thalassemia Test

On 5th February, 2019, Blood Bank of Bhavnagar organized Thalassemia Test

for B.Com, BBA, BCA and B.A Sem 2 students. Whole program was managed

by N.S.S Program Officer, MrsKalpanaben Trivedi who was also assisted by

MsAarati Rana, a faculty of B.Com Program. Students took its maximum

advantage and participated actively in it.

16th February, 2019, Thursday- Blood Donation Camp

On 16th February, 2019 Seminar on Blood Donation was organized and it was

the camp of Volunteers who wanted to participate with their own desires. N.S.S

Program Officer MrsKalpanaben Trivedi and MsAaratiben Rana, Faculty of

B.Com program guided the students and conducted it so well.

Tribute to Pulvama Martyrs:

18th February, 2019, Monday

On this day N.S.S Unit of Swami Sahjanand College of Commerce and

Management gathered students in mass and gave tribute to young martyrs who

died in tragic attack of Pulvama by terrorists. All martyrs of C.R.P.F were given

tribute and respect for their heroic act towards nation.

P.G. Unit Activities Report:

Yoga Day Celebration:

National Yoga day was celebrated on 21st June, by N.S.S Unit of Swami

Sahjanand College of Commerce and Management. Students participated in it

very actively. Around 150 students participated with enthusiasm. These students

were from different programs like M.Com Sem-3, MSW Sem 3, MHRD Sem 3.

Every event organized by SSCCM has been well known because of efforts of

faculties and this event was also guided and conducted under the supervision of

Mrs. Kalpanaben Trivedi- Physical Instructor of college, RajvibenKakkar and

Radhikaben Bhatt who work as faculties in B.B.A and M.S.W Program.

Tree Plantation

Tree Plantation day was celebrated on 7th August, 2018- Monday- by N.S.S

Unit of Swami Sahjanand College of Commerce and Management. In this

event RajvibenKakkar, Radhikaben Bhatt and Aaratiben Rana guided students

and made vent successful by their positive observation of the students. Whole

program was conducted and monitored by Chief Coordinator, Dr Ninaben

Parekh and it got completed successfully by valuable efforts of students as well

as faculties.

Celebration of Lion Day

Lion day was celebrated on 1oth August- by N.S.S Unit of Swami Sahjanand

College of Commerce and Management. In this event Commerce, Management

and Arts students vowed to protect lions and they were motivated by faculties.

On this day students wore masks of lion and they participated enthusiastically in

rally. There was great contribution by faculties and students. Kalpanaben

Trivedi- Physical Instructor and faculties like Juliben Patel, Aaratiben Rana and

Radhikaben Bhatt made their valuable presence to guide students.

International Youth Day-2018 Celebration

13th August, 2018 was really a memorable day because on this day Blood Bank

of Bhavnagar organized blood Donation camp for children of Thalassemia

disease. Students participated enthusiastically in this camp by donating blood.

Bhavnagar Blood Bank encouraged and acclaimed the institute and its students.

Credit goes to faculties like RajviKakkar, Aaratiben Rana and Kalpanaben

Trivedi.
