Established in 1973, Aciselsan is the first manufacturer of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) in Turkey. Over 40 years, Aciselsan has gained experience and expertise in manufacturing, quality, sales , marketing and application of CMC into detergent, oil field, paper, and very wide industrial markets.

Acıselsan’s production facilities are

located on an indoor area of 8,843

square meters at Acıpayam, Denizli,

Turkey.

Acıselsan also has a management

office in İstanbul, Turkey.

Acıselsan Acıpayam Cellulose Industry and Trade Inc. has been founded by local people in 1973 at Acipayam, Denizli.

2010

The Development Bank of Turkey and Vakıflar Bankası became Acıselsan’s partners

The Development Bank of Turkey has transferred 76.83% of owned shares to Privatization Administration

Key Milestones

Q4 2011

Verusaturk Private Equity has acquired 76.8% of Acıselsan’s shares from Privatization Administration and %15.2 of the remaining shares from Vakıflar Bankası T.A.O and has initiated the process of technological configuration. It raised its total shares to 92%.

Feb. 2012

Key Milestones

New Management Team has been appointed by Verusaturk Private Equity.

Acıselsan Lab has been established and the process for upgrading production technology has been started

Jan 2013 July 2012

Acıselsan became a listed company in Istanbul Stock Exchange (IMKB).

Key Milestones

New production line with a capacity of 3,000 MT of technical CMC per year has been established. Total capacity increased to 7,200 MT technical CMC

Production

CMC has many interesting properties when dissolved in aqueous solutions, but this will depend on the CMC grade and the solution conditions. CMC is an anionic polymer and has the following functions and properties; It acts a thickener, binder, stabilizer

proactive colloid, suspending agent, and rheology, or flow control agent.

It forms films that are resistant to oils, grease and organic solvents.

It dissolves rapidly in cold and hot water.

It is physiologically inert and anionic polyelectrolyte.
