DETOX GREENPEACE CAMPAIGN Texmoda Tessuti is conscious of how important is to eliminate all the dangerous substances

from our production cycle. This is why we took part of GREENPEACE’s DETOX Project on March 2016, starting a very important improvement process.

Through the production of conscious and top quality products, we intend to enrich our constant engagement in terms of respect of the nature and the

environment as well as both worker’s and consumer’s health. In pursuing our aim toward the reduction of the dangerous substances we already

eliminated 8 groups of dangerous chemical substances from our industrial cycle , to reach the ambitious goal of the elimination of 11

groups of harmful substances in 2020.

C.I.D. Consortium Italian Implementation DetoxThe Italian Detox Improvement Consortium handles

environmental sustainability within companies of the fashion system chain. It was created, first and only in the world, as a

reaction of some companies members of Confindustria Toscana Nord to a challenge launched by Greenpeace:

To remove harmful substances to humans and polluting for the environment by clothing.

Thanks to analysis, studies, research and passion of some businessmen today we can say that an eco-friendly fashion is

possible. Embark on a path of improvement toward the removal of many chemical substances, remaining faithful to

the transparency of the Detox Greenpeace campaign, it could be difficult , but not impossible.

ECO-FRIENDLY FINISHING Texmoda Tessuti makes use of selected third part suppliers sensitives

to environmental issues, especially our finishing process is completed eco-friendly, and highly concerned about water wastes and discharges and using

products chemical hazardous free as well as acting on energy saving with Led lighting system, and textile machinery with inverter’s controlled engines. Mostly,

the whole finishing plant is working with a water saving and water recycling system. Infact the Prato district uses an innovative and efficient depuration plant that

handles the re-entering of water through a dedicated industrial aqueduct. We esteem to be able to re-use around 30% of the necessary water requirement for our wet processes with the
