Introductory CourseFundamental basics of

jewelry making in metal. Learn skill techniques with basic bench tool;

pattern and design transfer, sawing and

piercing, fi ling, sanding, fi nishing, soldering, forming metal,

and stamping. Classes are limited to 4 people for personal attention. Metals used are

copper, brass, or sterling silver. Complete 3-5 jewelry projects. Six sessions of two hours each - $240 plus

materials; includes instruction and tool use.

Intermediate CourseAfter completion of the introductory class, specifi c jewelry projects can be accomplished. Suggested concentration can be any of the following: stone setting, chain making, forged work, cold connections, surface enrichment (roller embossing, texturing, etching) or design development. Four sessions of two to three hours - $160. Materials additional.
