DESCRIPTION

This lecture looked at major global changes creating significant challenges for international NGOs. It asked how international NGOs might adapt to meet these challenges. Dr Pratt proposed an alternative framework for understanding civil society which provides a new set of objectives for international NGOs who otherwise, he contended, risk finding themselves increasingly marginal to international development.
