REASON There have been 6 incidents concerning the Schneider CBGS-0 switchgear, SF1-G CB modules globally (1 found in SPEN) where the moving contact on one of the CB poles remains captive in Closed position after a CB open operation.
STATUS IN INITIATING COMPANY
All operations of the 3-pos switch (Open -> Service and Service -> Open) shall be completed with an approved remote operating solution where reasonably practicable.
Alternatively, operations shall only be completed with the network on both sides of the CB not live
• Following any affected CB open operation, verification that all poles of the CB have opened is mandatory
SPEN APPLICATION As above
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION As per the hierarchy of switching, all live operations of the CB shall be carried out remotely where practicable and electrically from the switchgear control panel (BCU with time delayed operation) for all other operations. Opening of all CB poles may be verified by aid of the VPIS present on the switchboard when either the CCT side or the BB side of the CB is live.

operation of the 3-pos switch with (Open -> Service & Service -> Open) with network both sides of the CB not live
Restriction updated to allow utilisation of the switch remote operating device provided by the OEM (Schneider)
