SuspectHollywoodEbenezer Mennonitedrama ensemble Aug. 7-8-9

Ebenezer Mennonite Church Drama Ensemble presents a dinner theatre at the church in August. Proceeds go to the Bluffton Com-munity Assistance Program’s food pantry.

The performance of “Suspect Hollywood,” by Nancy Bond, a one-act mystery, directed by Kevin Gratz, will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 7-8-9, beginning at 6 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Performances are in the Crossroads Center at the church, located at 8905 Columbus Grove Road, Bluffton. Tickets are on sale in the church office at $10 each.

The dinner is catered by Larson’s Barbecue (Todd Larson) with des-serts by Anita’s Sweets and Treats (Anita Willow).

According to Gratz, the plot of the mystery involves a cast of persons auditioning for a movie. The drama includes audience participation. Members of the audience must determine who, how and why some-one is murdered.

The nightly winner receives one large can of Shirley’s Gourmet Pop-corn. A nightly prize of tickets to the Shannon Theatre goes to the “clueless audience member” who is wrong on all guesses.

Members of the cast are: Pat Rodabaugh, Mary Glick, Dave Brauen, Dan Stanowick, Sarah Lehman, Roger Rhodes, Kaitlin Kidd, Kara Zink and Kyle Roby.

The dinner theatres presented by the Ebenezer Drama Ensemble have realized over $5,000 in donations to the Food Pantry.
