One or two hours a day doing the following: – Job hunting - surfing sites such as Career Builder, Monster, Indeed, Local Ads, Craigs List, etc. – Applying to jobs! – Registering with a temp agency. – Networking! – Role play with your support group as much as possible.

– Actually put on your interview suit when doing so.

– Ask for constructive feedback and don’t be sensitive!

• Perfect your introduction or “elevator” pitch:– Practice at every networking event or chance you get.

• Be yourself, but be prepared!– Research the company’s website, find interesting facts to share.

– Research anyone you are interviewing with and find facts in common to share.

– If you are on time, you are late! If you are early, you are on time!

• Monday –

– Surf and apply to jobs on Career Builder, learn more about AFWA, LinkedIn, Register with an agency, conduct Interview Role Plays and Practice Elevator Pitch to best friend

• Tuesday –

– Surf and apply to jobs on Monster, make follow up calls on resume submitted yesterday, LinkedIn, practice hard interview questions, schedule phone screen interview

• Wednesday –

– Set up alerts and apply to Indeed jobs, attending networking luncheon, Interview role play with favorite professor via Skype, drop off resume at a few companies in town.

• Thursday –

– Look at local Ads and apply, follow up emails, thank you cards and calls on resumes submitted, Interview and then drop off resume to 3 different companies by interview place and practice elevator pitch.

• Friday –

– Attend networking event in morning, apply to jobs on Craig's List, do Volunteer work , update social media sites, skype Interview

• Saturday –

– Check job alerts! Network all weekend wherever you go!

• Sunday –

– Rest! But ABN – always be networking!

When You Don’t Get the Job

• Do not take it personally!

• Thank them for their time

• Ask to be considered for future positions

• Request feedback

• Follow up in a month or so!
