Each of these gowns feature a different fabric that hasits own unique qualities. However, there are a set ofbenefits that all these gowns share.

All Proxima gowns arecut wider in the chest andsleeves for a better fit.Instead of using snaps, ourgowns feature an adjust-able velcro-style neckclosure. This allows theneckline to easily adjust toa wide variety of people,while also helping toprevent gapping in the front which serves asadditional protection against f luids.

You can check if you want!The length of our Proxima surgical gowns ismeasured from centre front neckline. All gowns areavailable in 5 different European sizes: S, M, L, XL,XXL and 3 different versions: non-reinforced, fabricreinforced and poly reinforced.

No other manufacturer offers this kind ofchoice.

Medical Fabric, we call ECLIPSE anindustry standard for more than 25years. The fabric gives Proxima drapes their soft,cloth-like feel that conforms easily to the body.

SMS material: For our Proxima surgical drapes we use high-qualitySMS material, which has been provento be f luid repellent, low linting,strong, tearproof and, above all,breathable. Thanks to this innovativeSMS technology, Medline surgicalgowns and drapes provide high levelsof protection against blood and f luids while offeringthe highest comfort.

Packed with features to help make your jobeasier. Proxima drapes feature a number ofunique benefits that help make draping alittle easier:

Velcro-style line holdersProxima drapes feature velcro-styleline holders to place surgical lines andhelp keep them clear of thefenestration. The tabs are offset tomake lifting them easy, even whenwearing gloves. This is one of the keyfeatures suggested to us by clinicians across thecountry when we developed the Proxima line ofdrapes.

Premium tape andincise filmWe use premium tape and

incise film exclusively on all Proxima drapes. Ourtape is manually placed f lush to the fenestration tohelp prevent pooling of blood and f luid underneaththe drape. Because the tape is placed manually, itallows the tape to be closer to the fenestrationcompared to other drapes.

Larger impervious reinforcement zoneProxima fenestrations and splits are surrounded witha large impervious reinforcement.This area absorbs f luids and isplastic-backed to make the areaimpervious to blood and bodyf luids as well as bacterial trans–mission. All Proxima reinforcedzones pass ASTM F1670 and F1671.

Instrument pad for traction controlThe instrument pad on Proxima drapes is a section ofopen-celled foam that provides aconvenient, non-slip area forplacing instruments duringsurgery. The pad is also plastic-backed, making it impervious tof luid transfer.

An “Extra” at Medline Almost every orthopedic and cardiovascular standardpack features an especially thick and reinforced mayocover.

Better fit and adjustableBoundary-SMS gowns are roomier in the chest and sleeves tohelp provide a better fit. They also feature an adjustable velcro-style neck closure.

Flame resistantBoundary-SMS gowns are resistant to ignition. The fabric has anaturally low rate of f lame spread and meets the Standard forFlammability of Clothing Textiles CPSC 16 CFR Part 1610.

Low-lintingBoundary-SMS gowns are low linting. Because they are madefrom polypropylene, the gowns are naturally low in lint.

Four layers of protectionOur SMS technology utilizes four layers of fabric to provide a highlevel of f luid repellency. This helps provide a barrier to blood, bodyfluids and pathogens. The fabric features two densely-packedmeltblown layers sandwiched between two strong, spunbond outerlayers.
