SURFING AUSTRALIASCHOOL HOLIDAY CAMPS

WORLD LEADING FACILITYSurfing Australia is a National Sporting Organisation that was formed in 1963 to establish, guide and promote the development of surfing. Our purpose is to create a healthier and happier Australia through surfing!

Surfing Australia’s High Performance Centre (HPC) is a place where surfers break down barriers, realise their potential and be the best version of themselves. We offer best in class surf camps with a team of experts who specialise in world class surf coaching.

TThe HPC is a Recognised Olympic Training Centre and features a state of the art gym, 4ft half-pipe and aerial training ramps, 70 surfboard demo quiver, super & Olympic trampolines, foam pit, 6 x video analysis rooms and can accommodate 40 people in a mix of premium and bunk style accommodation rooms.

LOCATION15 minutes south of Gold Coast Airport, between Kingscliff and Cabarita Beach, you’ll find Casuarina. This idyllic location has an uncrowded beach break directly out the front (pictured) and options

for every wind and swell direction within a 10 minute drive.

The Gold Coast point breaks are also only 20 minutes north for surfers to test their skills on one of the world’s most iconic waves;

Snapper Rocks.

COACHING SERVICESNo matter what level of surfing you’re at, our coaches will tailor their approach using the best training tools available to ensure you maximise your surfing potential.

Surfing sessions are filmed and then reviewed back at the HPC where coaches use the latest apps to analyse

footage and give visual feedback with slow-mo, digital drawings and split screen comparisons with pro surfers.

VIDEO ANALYSIS

70 demo surfboards are available from our partner shapers Lost, Pyzel, MR, JS and Firewire plus an FCS Test

Drive Centre so surfers can try different board and fin combinations.

DEMO BOARDS

Our coaches have training drills that even a first time skater can apply to help their surfing. Carve boards are used for the

fundamentals and the ramp to air bag (pictured) provides a high number of attempts for progressive moves.

SKATE

Training out of the water helps surfers become stronger and reduce the risk of injury. Gym sessions are run by our expert

strength & conditioning coaches who are highly skilled and use practical movements to improve mobility, flexibility and power.

GYM

The ultimate training tool for surfers looking to perfect their air game and an aspirational starting point for anyone looking to

build a foundation of aerial awareness.

TRAMP

CAMP PACKAGESOur camps are all-inclusive packages which means you can relax knowing that everything has been taken care of. From the moment surfers arrive until the very last coaching session, all accommodation, meals and transport is covered.

Named after iconic Australian surf breaks, our air conditioned bunk rooms can accommodate up to 16 surfers

(seperate boys and girls rooms) with all bedding and linen provided.

Chaperones supervise surfers at all times and like our coaches, they have all completed a Working With Children

Check and First Aid & Advanced Resuscitation training.

ACCOMMODATION

Our professional catering team serve fresh, healthy meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. They are more than happy

to cater for any specific dietary requirements (vegetarian, gluten free etc.) and can please even the fussiest of groms. Healthy

snacks are also available through the day.

MEALS

We can arrange airport transfers for surfers travelling without their parents, including unaccompanied minors who require a

nominated contact to collect them at the arrivals gate. Please note there is an additional charge for transfers.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS

WHO CAN ATTEND? We accommodate a wide variety of ability levels, from surfers still working on the fundamentals, right through to

competitive surfers looking to get their first breakthrough result. Our requirements for ability level, attitude and age

are listed in detail below.

Surfers aged 10 to 17 that meet the above criteria.AGE

All camp surfers must be competent in each of the below areas:

• Strong swimming ability

• Riding fibreglass shortboards

• Duck diving

• Catching unbroken waves

• Comfortable in 2-3ft (head high) surf

ABILITY LEVEL

The HPC prides itself on making better surfers and better people. Camp participants must respect their coaches, other surfers in

the lineup and most importantly, their fellow campers. We expect everyone to be encouraging and supportive of all surfers,

regardless of their ability level.
