Step by Step GuideStep One . . . Choose a region
Making the lifestyle change to incorporate a holiday home into yourbusy lives can be very daunting but equally enjoyable and exciting. At this stage it is very important to choose which region of theSouth West you would like to make your continued holidaydestination.
Think about how far you are prepared to travel and what keyfactors you are looking for in the area itself.
Step Two . . . Choose your park
Once you have chosen your preferred region, you will need toconsider what facilities you will require from your park. Are youlooking for somewhere quiet and peaceful, a retreat from everydaylife or somewhere that caters for families who are looking for funand freedom?
Surf Bay Leisure has a close relationship with all of the parks in ourguide and can provide you with information on each parks facilitiesand availability.
Armed with this knowledge we recommend that you make ashortlist of the parks that meet your requirements. We can thenorganise for you to visit these parks in person to decide which onesuits you best.
Step Three . . . Choose your pitch
Now you have chosen your ideal park, it’s time to decide where youwant to site your caravan holiday home or lodge, visit each pitch tosample the surroundings and view that you will have. Confirm anddiscuss the following:
• Site rental/annual costs
• Pitch size restrictions
• Caravan specification restrictions
• License Agreement & site rules
• Park opening times & facilities
• Subletting & selling
5
Step Four . . . Choose your holiday home
This is the most enjoyable part of the process! Now you havespoken to your chosen park and have all your pitch and holidaypark information, you can go ahead and choose your own holidayhome.
All of our staff are fully trained and conversant with the holidayhome buying process. We recognise that this is an importantinvestment and decision for anyone to make and that’s why weoffer impartial advice and guidance to ensure that you find theperfect holiday home.
At this stage there are a number of questions to bear in mind:
• Who will be using the holiday home?
• What size will you need?
• How many bedrooms will you require?
• Are there any essential features that you will requiresuch as an en-suite bathroom, free standing furniture, double glazing or central heating?
• Where do the windows need to be for you to takeadvantage of that fantastic view?
With all of these things in mind, the next thing to do is come andvisit us at one of our three Sales Centres in Devon, Dorset orSomerset and let us help you find your dream holiday home.
Step Five . . . Place your order
Now that you have found your park and chosen your perfectholiday home, you will need to discuss a total price (includingsiting, connection & delivery) with the park owner who can thenplace your order!
All payments for your order will be made direct to the park(payment options are available) who will also arrange delivery, siting & connection for you.
As soon as this is complete, that’s it! Your fully furnished holidayhome will be ready for you to move into so you’re able to escapefrom it all, to a place you love for many years to come.

‘An area of outstanding beauty& breathtaking countryside’‘An area of outstanding beauty& breathtaking countryside’
DevonA delightful mix of scenery, rolling countryside with small fieldsand hedgerows, villages with thatched cottages, churches onhilltops. Majestic rivers such as the Taw, Torridge and Exe,winding through wooded valleys full of wildlife, leading out tosea.
Whether you are looking for family holidays, somewhere quiet torelax, or romantic weekends away, Devon has something foreveryone.
The rural idyl of south-east Devon with its red soil, rolling hills andpicture postcard fishing towns such as Totnes, Salcombe andDartmouth with its 16th century merchant houses. A landscape offarms and valley’s dotted with quaint old villages with their traditionalpubs and inns.
Another region worth a visit is North Devon, a popular family holidaylocation owing largely to its glorious coastline. A cluster of seasideand beach towns stretching from Clovelly with its picturesquecobbled streets & harbour to Port towns such as Bideford, with itswhite houses and tree lined quay to Westward Ho!, Croyde &Woolacombe and then Lynton where Exmoor meets the sea, provideboth great scenery and some of Britain’s best surfing on blue flagbeaches.
Then there are the moors –This is the largest open space in southernEngland with its romantic beauty that is home to the Dartmoor &Exmoor ponies. Heather strewn moorland and broken, granite torshelp to make the moors one of the most undiscovered places inEngland.
But there is more to Devon than the rural Devonshire of holidaybrochures. The county's two cities of Plymouth and Exeter are as richin history as most in England and both retain certain treasures suchas Exeter's Norman Cathedral and Plymouth's waterfront. Explorecastles, gardens and Houses and what about the 180 miles of theTarka Trail where you can walk or cycle till your hearts content?
All of these features make Devon a popular holiday destination andthe perfect place to own your own holiday home that you can escapeto when you want to get away from it all.

CornwallCornwall’s unique culture, spectacular landscape, mild climateand not to mention being one of the sunniest areas in the UK,have long made this one of the most popular UK holidaydestinations.

Cornwall’s beaches are unrivalled elsewhere in Britain for theirbeauty and variety. Beach towns such as Perranporth, Polzeath andNewquay are perhaps the best known and are also excellent surfingbeaches offering some of the best surf in the UK.
Also on the coast are some of the Duchy's most enchanting fishingvillages and harbours; Looe, Portloe, Mevagissey, Tintagel,Cadgwith, Zennor and Mousehole are but a few. It's not just thevillages that have something to offer those sightseeing, the towns(and city!) of Cornwall are rich in history and attractions of their own.Take Padstow with its picturesque harbour and Rick Stein’srestaurant, Falmouth - a working port and charming shopping town. Then there is Truro, the only city in Cornwall where the cathedral stilldominates the skyline.
Redruth offers plenty of history and is ideally situated for visits to boththe North & South coasts.
Penzance is one of the largest towns in Cornwall and has plenty todo and see. From the sub-tropical Morrab Gardens to the bustlingfishing port of Newlyn, you should find something of interest. It is alsohere that you can take a day trip to the Isles of Scilly either by boator helicopter, plus it’s within walking distance of Marazion and StMichaels Mount.
With so many places to visit and so much to see and do, Cornwall isthe perfect place to own your own holiday home.

There is also an extensive network of caves such as Wookey Holeand underground rivers and gorges, including the Cheddar Gorgeand Ebbor Gorge.
At the heart of what makes Somerset a fantastic place to visit is itsdistinctive culture and history that include willow and cider making, great local food & drink, the legends of Kings Arthur and Alfred andmuch more.
The town of Glastonbury has its own mythical story with links to theHoly Grail, King Arthur and Camelot, identified by some as CadburyCastle, an Iron Age hill fort. Glastonbury also gives its name to theannual open-air rock festival held in nearby Pilton.
