see the biography of Prophet Muhammad SAW then we see the role of Abu Bakr RA in his life; he was the

first one among the believers who embraced

means will be saved – saved

he will stay away from it, Allah SWT will save him from the hellfire.

How Allah SWT has described Abu Bakr RA?

means the most righteous – we

the highest level of taqwa is

who is on the Sirat-e-muustaqeem. Abu Bakr has been given thi

one to enter the Paradise in Ummat

fulfilled full rights of taqwa in his life

What are the rights of taqwa? The one fulfilling all these rights is at the maximum of his taqwa:

• All the time the muttaqi remembers

everything reminds him of Allah SWT;

• Always obeys Allah SWT; never disobey

as a human being then he immediately repents to Allah SWT; is never stubborn on his sins; and

• Always grateful to Allah SWT for all his blessings in good as well as difficult times.

In the next Ayah Allah SWT is giving more explanation of

Ayah 18

[He] who gives [from] his wealth to pur

Abu Bakr Siddiq RA or anyone following

aved from the torment of the hellfire;

away from it, Allah SWT will save him from the hellfire.

Allah SWT has described Abu Bakr RA?

we see that taqwa also has levels and

- taqwa means a person guard himself from falling into Allah

muustaqeem. Abu Bakr has been given this title by Allah SWT and he will be the

the Paradise in Ummat-e-Muhammadi SAW, after Prophet Muhammad SAW

taqwa in his life.

one fulfilling all these rights is at the maximum of his taqwa:

remembers Allah SWT; never forgets Him even for a single moment;

everything reminds him of Allah SWT;

obeys Allah SWT; never disobeys any commands of Allah SWT and when he commits a sin

then he immediately repents to Allah SWT; is never stubborn on his sins; and

grateful to Allah SWT for all his blessings in good as well as difficult times.

the next Ayah Allah SWT is giving more explanation of

[He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself

following his footsteps fulfill the

their characteristic is that they give their

beloved money, which Allah SWT has mentioned in the Quran that

loved by human beings; for the sake of

s title by Allah SWT and he will be the first

Allah SWT; never forgets Him even for a single moment;

and when he commits a sin

then he immediately repents to Allah SWT; is never stubborn on his sins; and

grateful to Allah SWT for all his blessings in good as well as difficult times.

Allah SWT. Loving money is not wrong but what is wrong when we do not fulfill the rights of money which

is to give Zakat and charity to the needy; he is miser and does not want to part with his money even to fulfill

the command of Allah SWT, which is if we have a certain level of wealth then every lunar year we have to

give 2.5% Zakat on it. It depends on the action of the heart; sometimes rich people are miser and don’t give

anything and sometimes poor people give out of their meager wealth.

Abu Bakr Siddiq RA gave all his wealth and belonging twice for the sake of Allah SWT and left nothing

behind except the name of Allah SWT and His messenger SAW – nothing can compare with his level of

taqwa even Umar Farooq RA said that I cannot compete with Abu Bakr Siddiq RA.

Allah SWT is saying here - his wealth that is the wealth is owned by him but a muttaqi always treats

his wealth as a trust from Allah SWT and attribute it to the blessing of Allah SWT instead of taking the credit

of working and earning the money himself. The wealth which remains is not the wealth which is with us but

the wealth which we have given out as charity for the sake of Allah SWT will remain. The money we have

spent ourselves on eating, shopping is all wasted but the money which we have given out as charity will be

there in our account on the Day of Judgement; though Allah SWT is calling it your money but the money

you give out for the sake of Allah SWT with the intention of gaining reward from Allah SWT will be saved

in the balance.

In Islam every deed is according to intentions and no matter how much you are giving just have the intention

to please Allah SWT; quantity does not matter what matters is the quality and the intention of the deeds.

meaning to be purified; it is from Zakat – Zakat purifies our wealth as well as ourselves because it

saves us from sicknesses of the heart like jealousy and miserliness. But giving money only for the sake of

Allah SWT purifies but if it is done for the sake of showing off to the people then it is wasted and it is like

we are doing a favour to someone and this type of deed is highly disliked by Allah SWT especially if we are

reminding our favour on the person we had given. This type of money is not .

To be continued in the next class In shaa Allah

We ask Allah for His forgiveness and Mercy. Anything that is good from these notes is from Allah . Any mistakes &

misrepresentations are my own. I ask Allah for His acceptance of all our good deeds and forgiveness of our sins Ameen.
