Numeracy Kits Year 1 - 8Compiled below are our numeracy kits which have been collated with the BASIC ESSENTIAL EQUIPMENT that has been consistently ordered across the year levels indicated . We have ensured that the basic needs of each class are covered and provided containers that will allow for any extra items that you may require .
Place Value Kit 10 - 20 MA026This is specifically designed to help children having difficulty understanding the teen numbers. They are tricky. The language used does not follow the pattern of the other two digit numbers and this is an area that takes some children a while to understand.
Place Value Kit 20 - 99 MA027This kit aims to give children an understanding of place value of two digit numbers. It includes activities on making swaps between ones and tens and tens and ones to help the children become familiar with the foundation of our numbering system.
Basic Facts to Ten MA028Knowledge of the basic addition and subtraction facts is essential if children are to master more complex strategies in maths. This kit breaks down the facts into four groups; groups that make five, groups with five as an addend, groups that make ten and the rest including the doubles to ten and sums like 3+4. Each group of facts has its own lessons, activities and worksheets.
Fractions Kit coming soon!
A ‘Pick up and go Kit’ for Teacher Aides Comet maths was developed in response to a need for a resource to help teacher aides who have been given the task of helping children at risk or causing concern in maths . It can be used for an individual child or a small group of children and is designed to take account of different learning styles . Lessons can be used as they stand, be shortened or used to provide a framework within which teacher aides can respond to the needs of their pupils . Activities are ‘hands on’ and the books include supporting worksheets .
ONLY AVAILABLE AT SUPREME 4 SCHOOLS

There is a very good philosophy behind the new Mathematics and Statistics curriculum. The aim of Pearson Maths is to bridge the gap between that document and classroom practice. The series emphasises real situations for using and applying mathematics.
The Teachers’ Guides provide the tools to plan a mathematics programme to meet the needs of all students. The books are divided into units of work with curriculum links and learning outcomes for each chapter in a unit. Teacher guidance is provided on how to use the pages in the pupil book. There are assessment tasks and a record sheet for tracking individual students’ progress are, as well as answers to all questions. Links to appropriate “Figure it Out” activities for each chapter are also included.
