The 2018 SNaP Annual Pecan Sale Fundraiser began October 22, 2018 and will be running
through mid November. All prices remain the same as last year. Remember, these pecans are this year’s crop and are picked, packaged, and shipped fresh. These nuts are delivered within seven days of being harvested. You cannot get this quality in any store. We have sold these pecans for several years, and everyone has been very pleased with their purchases, which make great Christmas gifts.
To place your order, go to SNaP’s website at www.snapn.org or call 717-352-2612. Checks or cash are required at time of order, and both can be dropped off at the SNaP Office at 3887 Farm-stead Dr.

Call for Trustees
SNaP is looking for members who would like to serve as Trustees on the Board. As we begin working on our objectives for 2019, we would like to increase our board to assist in oversee-ing all aspects of the corporate affairs and operations of SNaP. Presently, we have eight Trustees, four of whom serve as the officers of the organization. Snap Trustees form ad hoc committees and guide and assign responsibilities to committees as needed. Some of the committees include fund raising, membership, member services, programs, social events and long-range planning. If you would like to volunteer a couple hours each month to work with the Board and other Trustees, please contact Pat at 717-352-2612. We meet monthly on the second Tuesday. All Trustees serve without compensation.

Adams County Winery Trip
A great time was had by all the members and non-members who went out to the Adams County Winery and enjoyed a lovely day in the country. We were welcomed by the staff at the winery and led on a short, but very enjoyable tour of the wine producing and bottling process. Dan, our guide, proved very knowledgeable, answering all of our questions and making it a fun experience. We tasted their many wines, and some of us bought our favorites to enjoy later. We then proceeded to lunch at Giacomo’s in Fayetteville, we enjoyed a lively meal along with our wine! See some great pictures on the SNaP website.
November 11 is Veterans Day, an official United States holiday. Veterans Day honors military veter-ans who served in the United States Armed Forces. It coincides with holidays in other countries marking the anniversary of the end of World War I. Originally known as Armistice Day, the holiday was renamed Veterans Day in 1954.
The Support Network at Penn National wishes to thank all of our veterans for their service.

Home Maintenance Reminders for November
November is the time to test and replace batteries in the
home. Be sure to have an extra supply of light bulbs and
batteries on hand before winter arrives. Batteries and light
bulbs should be recycled rather than thrown in the trash. For
more information about recycling, visit SNaP’s web site at
www.snapn.org/recyclecm.php.
It’s also time to get maintenance work done on your vehicle,
such as an oil change, tire rotation, tire pressure check, and
new wiper blades. In addition, after 4-6 years or 40-60 thou-
sand miles, it’s recommended that you have your radiator
flushed and new coolant installed.
Likewise, its time to have your furnace checked along with
your fireplace. Call the SNaP office at 717-352-2612 to ar-
range for service by a SNaP preferred provider.
