Some of the essential duties are: Performs clerical duties such as faxing various documents promptly; retrieves faxed documents and delivers to appropriate recipients promptly; photocopies various documents; sorts and distributes incoming mail; processes out-going mail. Establish, organize, and maintain manual and electronic filing systems. Maintains records and filing system, prepares forms, verifies information and resolves routine issues. Carries out and assists supervisor(s) and other LPHS staff with various proj-ects; gathers information, organizes materials, assembles documents. Receives fee payments for local public health service charges and maintains database reconciliations of amounts received. Record fee payments and make deposits, organizes and schedules in-dividuals, makes appointments and provides information to public, clients, vendors and others according to policy, procedure and set protocols. Contacts vendors to verify payment or billing information, Documents complaints, information requests and other information. Provides back-up administrative and clerical support to assigned positions in the absence of other departmental staff.

This posit ion requires a minimum of High School/GED plus 3 years of applicable experience. Experience in clerical, word processing and spreadsheet applications or an equivalent combination of related training and experience. This position is primarily in an office environment but may require some interaction with the public and community.
