Chapter One ... The Superheroes Create Their WorldsArtist Suzy Prior helped the young people to create homes for their

superheroes using miniature worlds. This was achieved by lots ofmaterials being used to design miniature worlds within a box.

India and Rachael's superhero worldwas creatively inspired by the

hills of HollywoodAmy designed a cool world for her

superhero, reflecting a winterwonderland.

Michael and Sharne's Danger Junglehosts scary inhabitants who chase

away any villains who dare to attack.

Kyle's Grave Forest.I love doing miniature worlds

because it is fun

Page 7: Superhero magazine - Yellow Submarine

Chapter Two ... The Superheroes Design Their Costumes Using colourful crafting materials, bright fabric pens and their own imaginations, the young people created their superhero

costumes and masks to hide their true identities!

I really like arts and crafts- Amy -

Chapter Three ... The Superhero's First Mission The superheroescreated their firstbattle scene with a

baddie throughstorytelling. The

artist, Charlie Henry,encouraged the

young people to actout their story as it

was read back tothem. The aim wasfor young people to

explore theircharacters and

create a story whichshows them using

their powers todefeat a villain.

Africa Zap and the Under Water AdventureThis is a story about how one superhero was saved by many...Africa Zap was a power8l superhero who could camouflage

herself and blend into her environment so she became invisible. She could see patterns, swirls and glow fish that no one else

could see. She lived in the h? desert in Australia, the sun was ash? as 27 degrees, sometimes as h? as 30, and sometimes itreached 40 degrees. Africa Zap was afraid of anything h?, shehated the sun because sometimes it would show her shadows.

And she absolutely hated volcanoes and h? sand, unless she usedstepping stones to walk on.

One day a lioness called her on a walkie-beep roar beep roar -which Africa Zap understood, there was a jelly fish trapped underthe sea. So Africa Zap ran into the water and transformed into a

dolphin. She dived into the sea and swam with her fins. Sheswam for 20 miles until she reached the jelly fish. But suddenly ascary shark arrived. The shark had really sharp teeth, super sharp

fins and spikes and incredibly sharp eyes. Africa Zap felt reallyscared. She was really scared, all alone in the deep blue sea with

no one around for help, or so she thought... Suddenly out of the blue, the deep blue sea, she heard the noiseof bubbles and singing and slowly a yellow shape began to rise

up, slowly getting closer. It was the yellow submarine. And luckilythe submarine was 8ll of superheroes. One by one they cameout. First of all Frezo came out and he froze the shark, then

Charmed came out and she turned everyone (except the shark)invisible, which con8sed and scared the shark because he couldstill smell everyone. Then Rob? came out. "Go away" he shoutedlike a bull. "Leave her alone, and don't come back!" Then Browncame out bravely and shouted with his HUGE VOICE "GO AWAY".The shark felt a bit hungry but n? hungry enough to stay. Brown

shouted in an even bigger voice "GO A-WAY!" The super heroSn?ty Tom g? out of the submarine, and he sneezed

aaaattccchhhoooooo! His sn? splattered all over the shark. Theshark tried to swim away but Tom's sn? was so heavy that he

started to sink with smelly, heavy bogies. Then Super Kyle toldeveryone to get into the submarine, and he raced it back to the

surface, swimming at super-fast speed and making sure thesubmarine g? back safely. Once they landed on the beach

everyone went safely home and they lived happily, ever a^er.Story by: Kyle, Rachael, Jacob, Ethan, Sharne and Jonathon.

Museums are fun!My favourite room in the

story museum was Narnia.

To create new weird andwonderful names the

young people were given cards which had random words on to produce a

character. These names were then played to themwhilst they sat on a throne

as their character.
