From the Crafts Expo Section Head: Hello Craft Enthusiasts, Our 2017 Super Toyworld Crafts Expo Schedule will once again provide you with all your favourite

classes as well as some exciting new challenges. Our theme of ‘Zig Zag Zest’ is expected to challenge the creative minds of our exhibitors to deliver bedazzling, zesty, zealous, zingy, bazinga exhibits for our patrons. After many requests, particularly from new exhibitors, this year’s Schedule includes a “How to enter the Super Toyworld Crafts Expo”. The process is explained in detail on page 4. We are very excited this year to be offering a Crafts Expo Showbag which will be full of items for the whole family for a very reasonable price! These will be available from the Crafts Expo Information and Sales Stand. The Recycle/Reuse/Upcycle Challenge proved so popular in 2016 that the challenge returns in 2017. It is great way to use that ‘junk’, that we seem to accumulate, to create a unique piece for the house or garden. It is also a great way to help the environment by reducing landfill. There are a plethora of ideas available online to put those ‘throw away’ materials to good use for this challenge. You are only limited by your imagination! The Crafts Expo will expand upstairs into the Tea Tree Room in Coorong Pavilion for the 2017 Canberra Show. Formerly the arena for the Cavy Section, the Tea Tree Room will entertain patrons with craft displays and activities as part of the Crafts Expo. As always, the stewards in each of the Craft subsections will be demonstrating their respective crafts. They would be happy to let you ‘have a go’ at their crafts and provide information on where you can take classes and their respective organisations. We received accolades on the layout of the Coorong Pavilion in 2016 and so we will be keeping that layout for 2017. The pavilion will also be decorated in the ‘Zig Zag Zest’ theme. Unfortunately, we have had to increase slightly, the entry fees for over 65s and pensioners for 2017. Due to the increase in postage costs, I would like to encourage our exhibitors to receive their Super Toyworld Crafts Expo Schedule by email or download from the Crafts Expo website. Also, I encourage exhibitors to receive their Exhibitor Letters and Exhibit Identification Tags by email, where possible.

I would like to thank all our sponsors (new and continuing) who have joined us for the 2017 Crafts Expo. Their valued support and generosity significantly contributes to the success of the Crafts Expo.

This Schedule and Entry Form can also be downloaded from the Canberra Show Crafts Expo website: www.canberrashow.org.au/craft, where you will also find additional information on the Crafts Expo. Remember entry forms are due by COB 21st December 2016. Enjoy browsing through our Crafts Expo Schedule and we look forward to seeing your exhibits in February 2017! Happy crafting,

Kay
