After many years of adoration for shoes, this entrepreneur decided it was time to make
her mark in the world of famous footwear. With the burning desire to be a renowned
shoe mogul and a few sketches from her dreams, the company, Soul to Sole was
birthed.
Cecelia Bythewood’s fall collection featured the finest boots made from Brazilian

Pat Goodman is a woman of encompassing talent. She is an
artist, an innovator, and an inspiration to many. Born and
raised in New York, Ms. Goodman attended H.B. Studios. She
began her professional career in advertising.
A visionary in the highest sense of the word, Ms. Goodman
has put strong focus on advancing the understanding of
humanity's universal citizenship by helping others and giving
back. In spring 2000, Ms. Goodman formed IN COURAGE, LLC.
The company was specifically dedicated to encouraging the
human spirit into effective action.
First seminar, Strategies for Women Who Want to Be Heard
featured guest speaker Dr. Deborah Cornelius at the
Tarrytown Hilton. In her role as innovator of IN COURAGE,
LLC., Ms. Goodman initiated Ripples of Hope™ After reading
an article about a woman in The New York Times following
the September 11th, tragedy, Ms. Goodman held a fundraiser
to assist with the woman’s living expenses. As a result,
Ripples of Hope developed into an after-school program
which used theater to help troubled youth connect with the
world at large.
After successful three-years in Westchester middle schools
and community centers and high schools, Ms. Goodman
launched Ripples of Hope™ Summer Theatre through the
Great Potential Academy at SUNY Purchase in the summer of
2004-2005.
In May 2005, Ms. Goodman, launched the non-profit
organization, I Am My Own Best Thing, through a fundraiser
held at SUNY Purchase Performance Arts Center.

Skeletal Metal is based in Las Vegas,
Nevada, the city of glitz and glamour,
an appropriate setting for a unique
new approach to jewelry. An
orthopedic surgeon discovered the idea
several years ago during a trauma
surgery, where a metal reconstruction
plate was being used to fix a broken
bone. These plates are often bent to
match the shape of the bones. The
plates are most commonly used at the
end of the elbow, knee, or ankle where
the bones are curved. After the
surgery, a similar plate was bent into
a ring. The surgeons wore the ring for
several years and found that many
people that saw it were intrigued by
the use of a surgical plate to make
jewelry. Following many requests for
a similar ring, Skeletal Metal was
born……
Lovetta Conte is the 15 year old creator of Akawel’le
jewelry and first recipient of the Strong Heart
Fellowship. The history of each necklace begins in
Liberia. In the part of Liberia where Lovetta is from,
many thousands of bullets were fired during the war.
Even though the war ended in 2003, the spent shell
casings can still be found scattered across the land
in places.
The Strong Heart House, set to open in early 2009-
is a home and center for learning and healing for
exceptional young people either displaced or
orphaned by war or other circumstances.
The Daniel E. Rumph Foundation's mission is to raise awareness, and provide screening for Hypertrophy Cardiomyopathy in order to prevent sudden cardiac arrest among young people. By providing automated defibrillators in our community recreational facilities, we can increase the chance of survival for those who may experience sudden cardiac arrest.
Danny, a former student athlete for Western Kentucky University, went into Sudden Cardiac Arrest after scoring the game winning basket during a pickup game during a home visit, his friends did not know how to do CPR and there was no AED in the center. Danny was twenty-one years old and was in great shape. Danny died from Hypertrophy Cardiomyopathy, an enlarged heart that shuts down when under stress.
