My name is Stephanie. Until I found God in my life, and began living by His will and not my own, I led a life of complete chaos and self destruction. I had suffered with addictions to drugs and alco-hol since I was a teenager. Since then, I have lost everything most important to me, especially my 3 children. I never knew what it meant to live, only exist miserably day to day.

When at my lowest point and feeling there was no where left to turn. God pointed to the direction I needed to go; His direction. He opened the door to Hope Cottage as a foundation to build a new life upon. All I had to do was walk through that door and put my complete trust in Him. I did just that, and I am being extremely blessed everyday for doing so.

Today I live by the saying, “Let go and let God!” I am living TODAY, not just existing! I am growing closer to God each day in my classes and through my relationship with others. My hope is to help others who have suffered for so long in the ways I have suffered and am not healing.

I want others to know that there are no external fixes for their problems; God is the only answer to start living and not just existing. He was been there for me and will always be waiting for you too…You just have to start letting Him inside and He will show you all that He has for you! Just like He did for me.

Christmas is coming! The Mission is buying a new set of clothes for each guest. You can help with these gifts (socks, underwear, jeans and shirts) and save money by purchasing clothes during JC Penney’s FRIENDS AND FAMILY EVENT.
