About Sunrise Tours

We have enjoyed so many new travelers and add-ed so many people to our mailing list the last few years, we thought it would be appropriate to introduce ourselves! Sunrise Tours is a family

owned and operated company that was started by Jim and Charlene Dalrymple in the basement of their St. Louis County home in 1993 – although their first tour did not materialize until 1994. The company has grown steadily over the years,

and now consists of 17 fantastic employees and offices in St. Louis and Indianapolis. We pride ourselves on delivering ex-tremely high quality tour experiences at a fair price, and we consider repeat Sunrise Tours customers our most important marketing “tool”. If you’ve traveled with us before, welcome back! If not, take a look inside this tour catalog and let us sur-prise you with an incredible Sunrise Tour.

Happy Trails by Sharon Woodburn

Straight from the Heart! by Karen Pettyjohn

As I write this, the big event looming on the horizon here in the heart of Indianapolis is the 2012 Super Bowl. Since we live within walking distance of all the activities, we are already making plans to participate, people watch, serve as hosts for friends and family as they check out the scene, and babysit for our kids while they glide on the zip-line that will be sailing high over Georgia Street! And, no, we are not renting out our home space for thousands of dollars. Initially, that sounded tempting until we realized all the personal items we would need to clear out---including our Golden Retriever, and how many people we would be inconveniencing asking to move in with them for a week. Believe me, it would be easier to take a trip somewhere else than live your “usual life”---out of someone else’s home! When our own Colts played in the Super Bowl a few years ago, our brother and sister in-law traveled down to Miami to fulfill

a life-long dream. They still talk about all the great memo-ries they have of that adventure---and they made some new friends as well. The thousands of people traveling to Indy are fulfilling their own life-time dreams. No doubt they have al-ways wanted to see their favorite team make it this far and they are doing something about it right now. As we know, just like the situation with the Colts, you can never assume there is a “next year”. Is 2012 your year to fulfill your travel dream? We have some fantastic trips that can take you to a part of this country you have always wanted to visit--- and many other op-portunities to travel abroad. What do you need to do right now to make your dream happen? I can help you with that!!! Give me a call in the office and let the excitement begin!

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all our traveling friends! I have made my New Year’s Resolution! Live, Love, Laugh and Travel MORE!! In keeping with my resolution I’ve been working diligently planning more trips for 2012 that I’m sure you won’t want to miss! Just a few of our new day trips include Cruisin’ down the Ohio River, touring the Palladium, visiting Blackford County, going on a Mystery Tour and more. AND … we have a New Overnight Tour --- “Fall Splendor in the Blue Ridge Mountains… The Homestead Resort & More” scheduled for this fall --- check it out on page 38! While you are perusing the brochure be sure to look at the “Policies” sec-tion as we have made a few slight

changes in the pick up locations. We will still have locations on all four sides of town, just a few different addresses, as we have elected to move sites closer to the Interstates in order to make your travel time more efficient..... This is in keeping with our goal to provide you with a fun, enjoyable travel experience! And remember, if there’s a place you would like to visit and

you don’t see it listed in the brochure, feel free to call or email me your trip ideas for the fall of 2012 and 2013. ([email protected], Cell # 317-771-6987)

But there’s another kind of rite of passage at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, where the Reverend Mervin Oglethorpe is giving his last service. Having been called to preach in Texas, he’s already bought a 10-gallon hat and is preparing to ride into the sunset with his wife June, who is eight months pregnant. cordance with services received.Trip InsuranceFor 2 main reasons we highly recom-mend the purchase of trip insurance and can provide information on Berkley In-surance: 1) Trip interruption – There are circumstances that can prevent passen-gers from fully participating in a tour and may require an early departure or ex-tended stay. For example, if a passenger suffers an injury that prevents the travel-er from continuing on the tour, insurance will cover the cost of the extended stay, the cost of transportation home and the value of the missed tour (subject to claim submission and acceptance by Berkley Insurance). If you do not have insurance, you will personally incur these costs and it can be very expensive. 2) Trip cancel-lation - If you are forced to cancel a tour for medical reasons (for you or an imme-diate family member), having insurance ensures a complete refund of monies paid (except for the cost of insurance). Sunrise cannot guarantee this because there are times when monies are paid on your behalf prior to departure.Pick-up points For each trip, we determine the pick-up points based on demand. Not all pickup points will be offered on each departure. W 5805 Rockville Rd. (Sam’s Club) N 9333 N. Meridian St. (Meridian N. Shop-ping Center)E 7610 Old TRails Road (Best Western Crossroads)S 4325 Southport Crossing Way (Country Inn & Suites) IdentificationFor any tour that leaves the United States, you must have a valid passport. Photo ID’s are required on domestic fly tours and recommended on all tours.Singles Requesting RoommatesIf you would like to go on tour with us, but do not have a roommate for a spe-cific trip, let us know and we will match you with someone else (same sex of course). Just let us know at least 60 days before departure and we will room you with another traveler at the double rate. If there is no roommate available on the tour you request, you will still only have to pay the price of a double. If you de-cline the roommate assigned, you will be

responsible for the single supplement. Of course, if you prefer to travel individu-ally, you can still sign up for the single fare. This offer is not valid on cruises, and some select tours.Method of PaymentsFor deposits we accept checks or cash.
