Sun’s Global 11i (IBIS**) Project

IBIS** stands for Integrated Business Information Solution

Sun took advantage of the versatile XML B2B messaging functionality within Oracle EBS and Sun Java CAPS, and implemented the following; 1) provide iProcurement punch out to supplier online store; 2) send electronic PO and receive electronic invoices via supplier networks; 3) create XML bank payment for suppliers. This paper provides an overview on how XML messaging technology greatly automates the company procure to pay processes.
